Had an amazing 10 night stay at this resort with a group of families. The main pool is very clean and large. The location is great - right on the beach. So it's a tough choice - sun lounge by the pool or by the beach? The beachfront Bamboo Bar has a great happy hour with two for one drinks and the best and happiest staff member - Megga (aka Miss M)! The pizza is great and the Italian restaurant fantastic. The spa provides an excellent service and well worth a pampering session or two! Breakfast is delicious and offers an array of choices.
In terms of service - this is where the hotel can definitely improve and why I've given 4/5. On arrival it would be great to be given an outline of what the hotel has to offer and a map. It took the kids quite a few days to discover the basketball court and there were restaurants we didn't even know existed - it's a big property! Service at the Bamboo bar can be very slow, especially during happy hour! Pool bar service is slow and the pour's are minimal in the cocktails. When you're paying for a cocktail - you want to make sure it has the right amount of alcohol! The staff don't really walk around to ask if you want food or drinks when by the pool or on the beach which was disappointing. At breakfast I nearly always had to ask for coffee to be served. Wifi is pretty hit and miss. Ultimately great location and awesome holiday!

Just returned from a 7 night stay here. This was our second visit and I can see a third and more in the future. There's so much to love about this hotel, mainly it's because of the wonderful people who work there and the unbeatable location right on the beach.

The last time we stayed there we booked Garden Deleuxe rooms, this time we treated ourselves to the newly renovated Club Rooms in the Club wing. Wow, what a huge step up from the Garden Deluxe rooms.

Since our visit last year there have been some changes at the resort, namely the complete renovation of the Bamboo Bar whee we spent many very pleasant hours sipping cocktails in the swinging chairs looking out over the beach. The other change is the renovation of the smaller pool which now features a great splash zone for kids.

Some of the things which have stayed the same are the gentle, welcoming staff at every corner of the resort. We took my 84 year old mum with us on this occasion and she was treated like royalty by the staff everywhere she went. She was made to feel very special. The breakfast at the Tirta Restaurant is just as great as it was last year, lots of choices and a wonderful setting looking out over the beach. We stuffed ourselves every morning. The other restaurants still offer great food at very affordable prices. We also tried the Satay Night on Friday and enjoyed wonderful local food at this special event.

The only criticisms we have of the resort is that the check in process remains very slow. The other negative is the very firm new beds. We mentioned this to reception after our first night and they were very quick to try and remedy this by adding a thick pillow top cover to the mattress and extra comforters to the bed in the other room. Sadly it only made a slight improvement to our comfort but was nonetheless a welcome addition. The mattress was simply too hard for the toppers to have much of an effect.

There are plenty of lounges around the pools and another couple of hundred on the beach. It was always easy to find a place to sit, although I wish staff would take away towels which are used to reserve prime real estate chairs from the crack of dawn. At times, these 'reserved' chairs sat unused for hours on end.

I can't recommend this resort highly enough for a relaxing, welcoming and overall, enjoyable holiday. The beautiful gardens, facilities, staff and location are a winning combination. I doubt we'll stay anywhere else in Bali from now on. If only the beds had been more comfortable I would give the hotel a 5 star review.

Room tip: Ask for a room with a garden or pool view.

Dear Tommy

Thank you so much for your review of the Prama Sanur Beach Bali

We are delighted to hear such positive feedback and we are most appreciative for your review of our property & team. Your kind words have been passed on to our team.

Sanur is indeed a great part of Bali to base yourself for a business trip, the close proximity to the airport using the newly completed road makes the transfer time very appropriate for our guests. Sanur also has an authentic local feel that we as locals (and our guests) love!

Thank you for allowing us to turn your moments into memories, we are looking forward to welcome you back again in the near future.

Should there be anything else I can assist you with in the meantime, do not hesitate to contact me personally.

Best Regards

This is a very good hotel. The location of this hotel is excellent, with the beautiful gardens and directly on the beach. The breakfast is amazing, a lot of choices and the taste is great. The greatest thing about this hotel is the staff, they are very friendly and helpfull!

Room tip: The rooms with the seaview are great!!

The location is in a quiet part of Sanur which makes it even better. Right on the beach and nothing can beat lazing on a sunbed 10 metres away from the Ocean watching the world go by. We had a wonderful view of the Ocean and pools from our balcony. The room had everything you needed. The buffet breakfast very good apart from the toaster ! It took 3 or 4 goes to get a golden brown piece of toast and the slowness of the toaster caused queues. BUT that was our only problem. Just sorry we didn't stay longer than a week. We would like to give a special mention to Satriani on reception, she helped us out on two occasions. We will be back !
