Stayed over Xmas and the hotel was very busy but pleasant.
The staff were very nice and were most helpful.
There were no staff to take a drink/food order around the main pool at the beach, there was a pool bar which was fine but it's nice to be able to order directly from your sunlounger! The main pool was rather dated but very large. Only accessed by one set of steps, otherwise you had to use metal ladders. There was another more modern small pool but to access this pool you had to use slippery steps with no handrail whatsoever, so I didn't feel comfortable to use this pool.
There were quite a few restaurants a short stroll away from the hotel but not much in the way of shops. The best shopping is definitely in Seminyak which is 30 mins away.
Ordering food at the restaurants at the beach involved a lengthy wait for ordinary food. My spring rolls arrived sitting on a bed of inedible mashed potato, since when are spring rolls served with mashed potato?? Salad yes!
The hotel room was quite dated and plainly furnished but roomy and had a large bathroom.
Free wifi for 2 devices was good, you just had to log in every morning.
Probably wouldn't stay in Sanur again, good if you want a very quiet stay.More
