Staying in room 184 at the moment. The floor looks like it's never been mopped with a clean mop. Spots everywhere. Hair in the bathroom. Dirt behind bathroom door , spot of what looks like blood near toilet on floor , vanity top in bathroom not wiped down. I had to grab some tissues and wipe it clean. Rings of muck around bathroom sinks. Needs a good scrub.
Would not return. Good location , but that's it !

we had a fantastic time at this hotel, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Our special thanks go to Rudi {reception} and Ciri our taxi driver. From the hotel we saw the entire island, a nice base.Every morning we enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was sorted very good.The rooms were spacious and clean, the beds were good,The garden was lovely with beautiful trees and flowers and the scent of jasmine greeted you every morning.

Stayed 6 nights at the Mercure resort sanur - had previously stayed 1.5 weeks in Legian..

On arrival we had a few issues.. My mother had booked a number of rooms through Accor months before our stay, as we had numerous family members/ Bali first timers staying and a number of rooms, I personally visited the hotel in November to speak with staff and make sure everything was perfect (we required some double beds, some twin share and had elderly family members who required ground floor). Once we arrived at the hotel we found that a number of the rooms were just not up to a standard we are used to ( in saying that we have stayed at hotels varying from $30-$100/night). My brothers room was by far the worst, cockroaches, bathroom was filthy and the room was in serious need of some attention. A quick visit to reception and we requested a new room, whilst this room was cleaner there were still a few teething issues. The shower in particular was at quite a low height, and he was require to crouch down for the duration of the shower... On the other hand, my room which was immediately below was faced with the opposite problem, the shower head was located right in the middle of the roof at over 2m high and the shower head squirted water in all different directions - this was particularly an issue whilst trying to not swallow any water...

The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, my family raved about the poolside food- in particular the pizzas, it was also quite fun to play tennis on the court - although you must book a time early on in the day, if not before.

Whilst the breakfast was nice enough, at times the food was not always topped up and this resulted in some empty trays in the buffet (especially on my last day when I really wanted pancakes! LOL) - the men on the egg station were always lovely and accommodating to everyone's orders - perhaps it would be good to have some sort of line as there were a number of guests who would 'push in'.

Both pools were nice enough - a little on the warm side, but adequate for a swim and relaxing by the pool!

Overall, my view is that this hotel can receive quite a few better reviews if they focus on repairing and updating all rooms to the same standard.

Would I stay at Mercure resort sanur again? Probably not, with the variety of hotels and resorts available that offer more clean and updated facilities at the same or cheaper price - I am doubtful that I would choose to stay here again..

Firstly, we all loved our time at the Resort over the period of Nyepi Day, I would definitely consider going back same place same time. Ate at the restaurant on Nyepi Day and all thought great value and good food watched over by Luke the General Manager.
The gardens and being under the shady trees on the beach were wonderful. Breakfast always plentiful and we all enjoyed.
Rooms need a bit of a revamp but we were still happy, air con and fridge both worked well. Cleaners did a great job with a lovely smile. King Beds were comfortable.
downside : Pools were too hot to be refreshing come midday
Many thanks to the Reservation Manager Mrs Novi for being so accommodating with a nice attitude when we needed to change a prepaid room not once but twice.
Thanks Mecure for a lovely time :)

This was the 3rd stay at the Mercure. I had booked and received my confirmation of King room and on arrival we were told they didn't have a King room available. Disappointed because of my recent email confirmation and because we are ACCOR members, also staying 9 days !! they said that they would have a room available the next day - annoying when you have to move again.
Our first room was very old and in need of refurbishing and updating.
Day two I had to check out a couple of rooms before being able to move and accepting the change.
Mercure staff have always been friendly and accommodating and we do enjoy the hotels position on the beach.

Room Tip: Some rooms are better than others, so if you don't like your room ask to change.
