I spend four relaxing days at the Ritz Carlton, and absolutely loved the premises. The rooms were very clean and spacious, the views wonderful, even with a "garden view" you get ocean views and lovely sunset skies.

Check in was very confusing and we were left waiting for a very long time, I was surprise of this from a Ritz-Carlton hotel. However, once we reached out to the front desk they were very responsive.

I had a few bad experiences at the resort which is why I rated it less than perfect. On our first evening, my husband and I went to the onsite sushi restaurant and service was slow...but not just that, there were small bugs crawling on my water. This really ruined our appetite. We addressed this to the front desk and they assured us we would hear back from the restaurant manager, and while they were apologetic and offered to make up for it, when we called two days later they had no record of it...

We also had our drone and were flying it in the pool/beach area and were approached by security advising we couldn't fly it...they said they would look into allowing us to use it but never followed up.

The beach was rocky, I barely went in once. I had a much better time in the beautiful pool.

Outside of those incidents, I can say that the staff is generally very responsive and attentive. I would welcome the idea of returning.

Thank you for your detailed review for our suite. They are designed with spacious feeling with natural lighting and extensive balcony to relax with the Indian Ocean as a backdrop. The design of all our suites and villas reflects truly Balinese inspiration while still keeping a warm, relaxed and contemporary feeling for our guests to enjoy.

My sincerest apologies for any miscommunication as well as for the mosquito who flew into your water glass as well as to please kindly note that usage of drones in public areas is restricted in order to ensure and protect the privacy of all our guests within our premises hence we highly recommend avoid travelling with drones as their utilization in public spaces is very limited and even sometimes requires prior approvals from the local authorities.

Your different preferences had been duly noted and thank you for highlighting the attentiveness of our Ladies and Gentlemen who has been very responsive to your inquiries and provided an excellent personalized service and genuine caring ensuring a comfortable stay.

I have been to Bali 5 times and 3 of those times I had stayed at Ritz Carlton, twice in Jimbaran Bay and now Nusa Dua. We also had our wedding reception in Sydney Ritz Carlton so had strong connection with the brand. This will be the first and last at this Ritz Carlton. Our previous experiences in Ritz Carlton led me to believe this would be also be a great holiday ,unfortunately it was disappointing from check in.

I bought luxury escape package and encouraged couple of friends to do the same. I decided to pay for upgrade to VIP with premium position. We were 2 adults and 2 kids. My friends who did not upgrade got 2 queen beds, we got a king with couch bed. We were in same location so I rang and asked what value did I get for upgrading? They were not clear with response and advised they could move us to a prime location in a couple of days, the manager also offered to waive cost of roller bed we needed as we didn't get 2 queen (which my friends got with no extra cost). I waited till the end to do this review as I was hoping they would demonstrate the service they are famous for but it never happened.

In summary not a true Ritz Carlton experience, stay somewhere else.

My sincerest apologies if any mis-communication and delayed response have happened in regards to the bed`s type allocation and for not being able to fulfill your request and preference (as all our rooms and villas provide the choice of standard King size beds with Sofa bed as well as some suites/Villas provide twin size beds along to the Sofa bed) as due to fully booked situations such as during your recent stay and which we regularly experience, a back to back situation in room preparation hence the difficulty to pre-assign the room type as per the guest preference despite all the efforts made and pro activeness on this matter. Our resort - and our Ladies and Gentlemen – embodies the brand’s dedication to iconic service, whilst combining the warmth and spirituality of true Balinese hospitality, set to attract global affluent travelers ranging from couples, bridal parties, honeymooners and families alike. During holiday season, more families tend indeed to holiday in Bali to enjoy the overall environment and activities Bali offers to its visitors.

Please rest also assured that I will be sharing your preferences and feedback with our respective division heads for further improvements and avoid such re-occurrences as it through such constructive notes as yours that we will be able to further elevate our services and offerings in the future. I trust and do hope that the immediate actions taken by the entire team to improve your initial check in experience were all well received and that the initial perception will not tarnish your overall confidence and appreciation for our Resort and its Ladies and Gentlemen in the future.

We stayed at The Ritz Carlton for a short break on one weekend just before the peak season. It's really the best choice we took.
Love the property so much, spacious room well decorated. Stunning view from the lobby. Great service and friendly staff.
We're so happy to see Ritz Kids, a great playground for your kids.
Good food and many variety for breakfast.
Highly recommended.

Located on the southern tip of the island, in Sawangan, Nusa Dua, The Ritz-Carlton, Bali built on an expansive manicured 12.7 hectares of white beach front and elevated cliff top settings. The dramatic approach via open wide glass window provides a warm welcome with an unobstructed view of the Indian Ocean. The resort features 313 rooms, combining suites and villas that incorporate Balinese features and materials within an eye-catching palette that is simple but gives natural warmth.

Our Sawangan Junior Suites offer a spacious accommodation with modular design which provides a sense of privacy at the same time keep it homey. This is great comfort for a family coming to Bali to enjoy a precious holiday time.

Thank you for praising the different facilities at our resort such as our Ritz Kids facilities, our 6 different restaurants and lounges where each outlet has its own specialty and are all equally tempting and delicious. Our extensive breakfast buffet in ``Sense`` offers breakfast specialties from all around the world ranging from Indonesian favorites to Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indian, continental, Vegetarian etc. and which makes it, the perfect recipe for a great start of the day. What makes me the most proud of while reading your review, is your satisfaction with the genuine care and the excellent service extended by our Ladies and Gentlemen throughout your entire stay. The hotel is built on a cliff so the lobby overlooks the entire resort which is amazing. However, the lobby is not air conditioned so it is hot and humid. The restaurants like Raku, Lounge and Bar are the same. Trying to eat food while you are sweating a lot is not good.
Check in process is very slow. We arrived at midnight and it took them ages to get us check in. I think this can be improved.
We booked a Ritz Carlton suite which we highly enjoyed. It is spacious and modern and clean. Love the seat warming Japanese toilet.
Beach is not nice (too pebbly) and the water does not look clean.
The main pool is ok, standard hotel pool.
Breakfast is ok, wide variety of western and Asian food.
Japanese restaurant Raku is ok.
We had high tea at the Lounge & Bar and its ok, nothing really standout.
Dinner at the Beach grill is good. We enjoyed the steaks.
In room dining is quite good, both food and service.
Spa is relaxing and their masseurs are lovely but average in skills. I would not pay the prices they are charging again.
Staff are polite and attentive. Definitely has good customer service.
Housekeeping is very good, twice daily.
We tried the Mulia resort's dinner buffet and its really good. Highly recommended.
Overall its a very pleasant stay. We bought a deal off Luxury Escapes and its value for money.

Located at the lower cliff, our “Ritz-Carlton Lounge and Bar” offers the best environment, choices and services for a memorable afternoon tea experience. We provides the best afternoon tea on the island. With the best selection of signature teas and coffees, our chef have also crafted an array of choices of three tiers of classic delicacies like éclairs, cakes, mini croissants, and sandwiches as well as traditional afternoon teas which consist of Indonesian sweets and savory light bites. Thank you for highlighting your favorite deep fried snacks and banana cake.

Sawangan Beach is a beautiful beach with white sand, stretching along the northern coast of the Nusa Dua peninsula, sparkling blue water, serene and idyllic atmosphere as well as calm waves. This side of Bali is completely private as no public passage or walkways at the front of the hotel like most of Bali resorts. The Sawangan area is also known in Bali as producing the finest seaweed farming.
