“Great Experience at Grand Hyatt Hotel”
Reviewed 14 August 2012

This property does occupy the best and biggest part of the beach on Nusa Dua. Other 5 star properties have significantly smaller beach sections which means deckchairs are almost on top of each other.

Hyatt has he best property in bali. Located in the beautiful nusa dua area in bali, it has a fantactic beach

My husband and and our eight year old son spent 11 days at this hotel. It is a beautiful resort with a selection of pools so there is never a problem getting a deck chair beside one of the pools. Also you don't feel crowded in by other holiday makers as there are so many pools and the grounds are huge and always immaculate. There's even two water slide pools for the kids. Even these are chilled out and not overcrowded by screaming kids and their families. We payed a little bit extra and booked a seaview club room. There is a pool just for club members. Food is great at the hotel. Although if u walk to the beachfront and head left there's a cool little beach cafe where u can get cocktails and basic food. Also a bit further around is the dirty duck diner. We had dinner there a few times and loved it. Also just outside the hotel hate is a group of ladies with a hit set up that do grest massages for about 15aud.
The rooms are nice but need a little bit of a makeover which I think Hyatt is in the processs of doing.

It was a quiet and relaxing experience. It felt like a paradise. We got a room with an ocean View. One can spend hours sitting in one's balcony watching the waves below. The rooms were luxurious & service was absolutely spot on. The staff is friendly and efficient. Food quality is superb at all the restaurants though I particularly liked the Italian one "Salsa Verde". The gardens are extremely well maintained with colorful tropical plants...beautiful landscaping!

At night I just loved relaxing at their rooftop "Salsa Bar". Watching the waves rising and falling from the top with the Balinese music in the background felt so very tranquil.

I definitely recommend the Hyatt for your stay.

Stayed for 7 nights on a business trip – my company was hosting a seminar in one of the ballrooms.

The first thing I noticed about this hotel… the grounds… they are stunning. Very manicured, beautifully maintained. In fact, the hotel feels more like a small village with numerous restaurants, cafes, streams, pools, shops, waterslides, patios etc… For the first time in my life I could actually imagine taking a family vacation and not leaving the hotel grounds.

The room was also very nice, with a big comfortable bed and some unique touches like a very inviting day bed, stylish bamboo shades and a wooden-slatted wall between the bedroom and bathroom.

As this was a work trip, I can’t really comment on location (as I spent most of the time inside the hotel), but I can say that there is a massive shopping complex (Bali Collection) literally across the road with many restaurants, loads of shopping (international and local)… and even a Starbucks. I heard others complaining that Grand Hyatt Bali was a little too far from Kuta Beach, but some people may like the relative isolation.

I have to mention the amazing service we received from the Event Planning Director, Siti Saudah. She was, quite simply, amazing and is a real credit to the hotel. We had more than 50 attendees at the hotel for our seminar (arriving from 14 countries), and some complex requirements for billing, accommodation, transfers, dietary requirements etc… Siti handled everything with finesse and ease and was ALWAYS available for even the smallest request.

The staff is very friendly. The food is ammazing! The pool is huge and beautiful! The rooms are a bit far from the lobby, every time I would have hard time finding my room. :) There's a shopping place in walking distance, I would go there to have Starbucks coffee, or just get some local souvenirs. Bali itself is a must-see place!

Room Tip: choose closer to lobby
