truly a piece of heaven on earth. the landscape was something to remember. the glance of the property through walkway to the reception is a picture to always keep in mind...
the staff were very helpful and they upgraded our room to a club room without the lounge and room only, for only $15. with the upgrade the access to the private pool far from the other crowded pool areas was wonderful. the hotel property is so huge so be ready for a good walk to raech your place of interest! and beware not to get lost on your way! don't forget your camera to take beautiful pictures as you pass each corner...

Room Tip: try the club room

We are going to the Grand Hyatt in Nusa Dua BALI since the opening in 1995. Some of the staff are there since the opening and carry forward the tradition of hospitality of Balinese. The resort is big with a wonderful landscape perfectly maintained and groomed daily. 5 swimming pools, kids club, superb gym ( which, being a triathlete needing to keep my daily routine, is a serious plus), tennis, squash and the BEST SPA on the island although a bit expensive. What I love there is having all the services that you may dream of, with this felling of being alone. It is quiet and relaxing and for me, a perfect retreat after the long weeks of work in Asia. We generally finish the day with a drink at the bar overlooking the beach. Nothing better than the waves and the sea breeze to start a good and quiet sleep, I have tried a few of the resorts in Nusa Dua and Grand Hyatt is my choice for another 20 years. By the way I became a member of the Timbis Paragliding Club which is 15 minutes away from the Grand Hyatt.

Room Tip: Everything is available within the resort. Golf course is 2 minutes away, paragliding and beaches ne...

If you're loooking for an exotic location for a care free and relaxing holiday then I can recommend the Grand Hyatt Bali. The service was exceptional and the staff were very helpfull and willing to make the stay as enjoyable as it could possibly be.
The grounds of the Hotel are very impressive and not to mention how beautiful they were, with exotic water lily gardens and frangipani trees and of course not forgetting the palm trees along the beach.
Our room was located in the south village on the grounds which was ideally situated for the beach. The room itself was vey clean, cool and comfortable, serviced daily with clean linen and turned down evenings. We chose a breakfast only option for this holiday with a short walk either along the beach or through the grounds to the breakfast area, we were not dissapointed it was great!
I have to say the Kriya Spa was amazing and a must use facility for total relaxation in pure surene surroundings. Also as part of our package was an evening buffet and Balinese dance theatre show which was truly wonderful.
Situated just outside the grounds is the Bali Collection which is a complex that can cater for your shopping dining and entertainment.
There is so much more I would like to say about the Grand Hyatt it was fantastic and we must return again. Terima Kasih (Thankyou)

The Hyatt Grand Bali is a world class resort with world class facilities. In a nutshell those are both its strengths and weaknesses:

You will enjoy fine facilities and service in a tropical atmosphere which makes it a wonderful place to relax and be pampered. You will enjoy it, we did.

Sadly, you will also not experience typical Balinese Culture, customs, and life. If you stay here you will need to venture outside Nusa Dua proper to have that experience. I highly recommend going to Ubud, Bedugul, Munduk and the North of Bali for those experiences.

But when the local culture becomes too much come to the Grand Hyatt and you will feel as if you are at home in your own country.

Room Tip: Try to get a room upgrade. We booked two free nights (courtesy of my credit card company) and were u...

Ordinary hotel. Pool was bizarrely and unpleasantly at the same temperature as a bath. The hotel needs a massive modernisation. Even our kids asked to go home from this hotel.
