I stayed at the Deluxe room. Nice room with balcony with working air condition. The environment of the hotel is good value for money, you can definitely enjoy the sunset at the backyard of the hotel--the Kuta Beach itself, with clean sands.

The spa is pricey. They charge an extra $20-something if you choose to have the therapy in your room. An hour massage is $45++. You could instead take a cab and go to Green Spa at Sunset Road for a two-hours session of complete spa for that $20-something.

Had a bit of problem when requesting for extra towel. Apparently you have to trade-in the old towel for the extra one? A bit senseless when what you want is to actually get an extra for extra member of family.

The breakfast is not really appetizing either, the variety is okay, but the quality.. I rarely saw that kind of juice with artificial coloring being served in other >4-star hotel.

And no, the wifi is not free.

If you have packed itinerary and will spend most of your time moving around the island, stay in this hotel. If you're staying to enjoy all the hotel has to offer at relatively the same budget, better pick another one, like Hyatt at Sanur, or Grand Mirage at Tanjung Benoa.

Room Tip: Choose the rooms adjacent to the garden in ground floor if you want better access to pool/beach. Ocean view takes a good amount of walk to the main building.

Have stayed at this hotel many, many times.Very friendly staff all throughout the hotel, including management. It is in a great location with beautiful gardens, perfect for a wedding! Has a clean beach area with beach lounges.Sounds funny but it is swept everyday. Close to a lot of great shops. Good selection of menus at all restaurants.Rooms are clean.Had problem with shower head but was replaced in 10 mins.Spa was the best I have had in all of Bali. The pool area is the place we spend much of our relaxation time, nice and clean. The swim up pool bar is where we have a lot of fun with staff and other guests. We will return to the Bintang again and again. We just luuuv it!

Room Tip: the top floors are quieter or for those with small children, ground floor have great garden areas to play.

We just stayed in this hotel from 25th March until 2nd April. On arrival there was quite a bit of work going on in the area, but it didnt affect us at all. The hotel is big and sumptous and check in was fast and friendly. Our room was a little tired but overall it definately served our needs. It was kept very clean by our housekeeper "Mega". I left a tip for him one day and the next day I received a beautiful arrangement of gerbera flowers. The hotel itself is extremely user friendly. The entertainment is the best I've seen and I've been to Bali about 8 times in the last few years. There was water aerobics every morning, bingo (to win coctails) every day, drinking competions, that were lots of fun for young and old alike. The wharf restaurant at the hotel gave us some amazing entertainment with the best group I've seen for a long time. They were F-a-b-u-l-o-u-s and we had so much fun with them. Just 10 minutes walk from Waterbom Park, The Discovery Mall, Bubba Gump and the list goes on. Great location. We've stayed in a lot of great hotels in Bali (3 star is definately not for us), but this one has been one of my favourites. I would recommend it to anyone and I would definately go back myself. Its probably not the cheapest hotel but still value for money. On the downside we had 2 twin beds put together and they were extremely uncomfortable. We did wake up with bad backs most days. We are in our 40's. A massage helped sort that problem out. Thanks to all the staff for making our holiday a great one. 5 stars from me for the Ramada Bintang.

Room Tip: Didnt see any other rooms so I cant help with that but we overlooked the pool and it had a small balcony.

Have nothing but praise for the Ramada Bintang. Upon arrival there was a prob with the original room we were booked into so they upgraded us to the "Romantic Room" at no extra charge. Stayed from march 13-21 and was married in the hotel grounds on the 17th. They were nothing short of AMAZING. Yes the rooms a a little dated but seriously people.....how much time does one spend in a room. LOVED the pool area and the gardens. Met so many other famlies there. The breakfast was DEVINE. Looked forward to that everyday. It was nice and central. The rooms were very clean and the service from the hotel staff was exceptional. Will be heading back there again next year. Highly recommend them to anyone wishing to have a wedding there too. The setup for my wedding was spectacular. Great memories of our trip.

Room Tip: If you are going during wet season ask for a room on one of the levels up as the ground floor rooms so not have cover to sit outside. I was on the 2nd floor and our balcony was sheltered.
