We stayed in a suite then upgraded to Uluwatu Suite, they were both of a very high standard, spacious and well appointed. The club lounge was amazing, fabulous food, cocktails, service, beautifully fitted out with baby grand piano, chandelier and a fabulous twist of east meets west. Located on the beach with the option of a selection of swimming pools. The gardens are beautiful, at night lighting really accentuates the massive grounds this property sits on, every turn is a visual delight. There is a fabulous italian restaurant with indoor and al fresco dining. The service is of a very high quality, staff and efficient and friendly. Located about 10 min drive from Kuta and close to the airport, tops for convenience and away from the crowd. I would not hesitate to recommend the IC even to the most discerning guest, sad to leave, look forward to returning.

Room Tip: Splurge the Uluwatu Suite is amazing - house size and glamourous

We stayed for 10 days. We booked a duplex suite and was upgraded to a Ulawatu suite which was massive! I am gluten allergic and the staff couldn't do enough to cater for my needs. They made breads and muffin, infact anything I wanted was made especially for me. The staff are all friendly and you can tell the staff all work as a team. The Balinese people are very gentle souls and are always ready to please. The facilities are good. The spa is good although not the bargain massages you can find elsewhere. I had a pedicure and it would be one of the best Ive had. All the scissors etc were kept in a sterilizer so cleanliness is high. Well worth the trip. Came back very relaxed.

We had such a good time there that we went back a year later.
The resort was beautiful the health spa was the best.
The breakfast was to die for.
You can't find a more beautiful place on earth.
A short walk along the beach to a group of seaside restaurants that are best at sunset.

If you want the best own piece of Bali go for Intercontinental. The staff its very welcoming at the arrival they serve welcome drinks and strait away you feel the treat, they carry your bags and walk you all the way to the room. The hotel its quite big and spread, with many facilities, however anywhere you go you will find your own private space without a doubt. Additionally anywhere you go you will find great service right away happy to help and make your time even better. Hotel has beautiful exterior with tropic gardens blending with the best view of the ocean you may get in Bali, the pool, spa, bars and restaurant, many places to chill around the resort, by the beach where you could lay down and watch the sunset while being served nice refreshing cocktails, or right on the beach, where also was usually empty. Staff at hotel its great, they prepared great dinner for us at the private spot with the view of the sunset, candles, flowers, deserts anything you can imagine and that was the most romantic dinner which you cant ever experience in any other place in your life! You can book that special treat at the Consiage, and as you will be there its really worth to go for it. Room service its quick and very nice, anything you need staff will bring you right away, even if your room seems to be away from reception. We had toilet broken once, what was repaired within 5 min without any worry. Rooms are very spacious with big balconies, huge bathrooms with bath, separate shower and separate toilet, and I really loved the dressing part dividing bedroom from the bathroom, which was really practical. Food at the hotel its really, really good, Bali food its nice, but hotel serves it in high class and taste its great! As you may researched the famous Jimbaran restaurants serving see food by the beach, they are right next to hotel, so you dont even have to walk there. I heard that its really hard to book a table there or that people from around Bali travel there to have a best see food and best view of sunset with the candles, but actually you will find people presenting you their menu while you walk on the beach and inviting you for this treat. We tried few restaurants there and the first one next to hotel been best one, however as I mentioned Bali food its just great anywhere you go, for someone who loves shrimps will be glad seeing shrimps of the size of lobster, and they serve many of them for cheap, prepared however you like. Also a small tip if you travel with partner and you like chill at the hot tube, you can use hotels spa jacuzzi free of charge which at night its empty, however know that Bali its famous from spa treats and their jacuzzi its a size of a mini pool. But if you want experience real spa grab a taxi at hotel and tell them to drive you to the good spa, agree for particular cheap rate with driver first, they will find you best available spot, they will be your translator on haggling the price and they will wait for you even if your session its few hours and drive you back anywhere you want. Spa there its nothing what I could imagine back home you just go for it and you will feel new born for the rest of your holiday. Same trick with the driver you can do if you want to visit the island. For really cheap driver took us to Ubud and was driving us around, showing us a good shops, while we went shopping he waited for us even though we took our time, he also been our tour guide in a way and showed us monkey forest, which was nice to see, nearby area and many places. The drive to Ubud its quite long, but you will see real Bali on the way there with beautiful villages and real Bali vibe. Also visit Dream Land, again we grabbed a taxi, who driven us all the way there and waited, as well, while we been chilling at the sun beds enjoying the views and having a feet massage for a pennies at the same time. We did same with Kuta and Nusa Dua, at Nusa Dua its really nice shopping spot and restaurants, one restaurant offered us a free transport home as a part of the meal, which was nice. When you will come outside Intercontinental, taxis will be stopping for you within second, then tell them your price and places you want to go and visit, and even if they will not agree it will just take you few min to find one who will agree. Any way taxi will be best source of transport for you as I mentioned they can take you anywhere for really cheap price, give you some tips and show you some spots. I didn't enjoy Kuta I found it dirty and too rammed, it is party spot and as we heard some clubs are there 24/7 but even during the day the beach was polluted and dirty nothing to compare to the Intercontinental, but its worth to see it all. Have a look at my pics and videos and you will understand. Intercontinental its great even due to its size it does give privacy and space for everyone from the couples to families and friends and I will def will be back there and cant wait for that day!
