“best bungalows in jimbaran/bali”
Reviewed 3 November 2011

nicest privat bungalows i ever stayed. great pool inside a beautiful garden, well equiped rooms with great design, great bed and great bathroom. very friendly and helpful swiss/spanish owners.in the middle of the fishermen village but next to the nice beach which is also good for swimming.some of the southbali beaches are not good for swimmers-big waves or tide.and jimbaran is not as noisy, crowded as kuta/legian.

This has to be one of the best villas in Bali considering the price. Everything you need for a fantastic, private stay with access to the beach and the famous Jimbaran sunsets.

We stayed for 3 nights and were sad to leave such a memorable place.

The only down side is the difficulty in finding it on first arrival. From the temple on the main road it's first right and then left to the bottom, right and then left. Confusing if you don't know, so make sure you are sure before you go.

We arrived here quite late at night and were a little concerned at the location. The morning showed us that we were in an idyllic place with our own private pool not far from a beautiful safe swimming beach. The restaurants on the beach are basic but good and it isn't too far to get a taxi into Seminyak or Kuta for shopping.
Mango Tree provide a good breakfast and excellent service with cleaning and advice for day trips. Made and Ketut were friendly and efficient and we were so thankful and appreciative.
I would recommend this villa and hope to stay again. thank you very much Andrea and staff for providing a haven in such a busy country. Loved the wi fi.

Mango Tree Villa is perfect - the rooms are spacious and clean, the bathrooms are fantastic. And it is the outside area that really makes this place stand out. The garden and pool are awesome......It is your own little paradise in peace and quiet which is great after a day of exploring crazy Bali. The staff is great, everything is in great shape. The owner is lovely and helpful. We would recommend anyone to stay here!! A short walk to Jimbaran beach for the best sea food on the island.

My husband booked a one-bedroom villa via Natan Hospitality, which included a one way transfer upon arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport. The journey from the airport to the villa takes approximately 10 minutes. Mango Tree is located deep in the heart of a quiet fishing village in Jimbaran and it might be hard to locate if you don’t have a guide upon arrival. The road leading to the villa is extremely narrow but we arrived an MPV so trust the locals to navigate their way around! The villa itself is pretty much what you see in the pictures on its website; tastefully done, boasting a private pool with a kitchenette and living room located in the open area. My husband and I immediately fell in love with it! The owner, Andrea, and the staff; Ketut, Made and Yudi are very friendly and attentive. The beach and seafood restaurants Jimbaran is famously known for is located about 300 meters away, easily accessible by foot or by any two-wheeled vehicle. The beach is not as clean as it used to be, but then again we were there during low season (rainy and windy most of the time) so you might have a better view of the beach after April. Breakfast is served daily in the villa, and there is a Satellite TV, DVD player and an iPod dock in the room. In hindsight, I think the villas are definitely value for money (it’s cheap for such a pretty villa!) and more suited to those who want peace and quiet away from the noisy streets. Don’t forget to bring your own toiletries! They only provide you with towels, a few bars of soap and a hairdryer. But in any case, I definitely recommended this place :)

The one and two bedroom villas, shaded under old mango trees, are an ideal choice for travellers with a sense of adventure, a passion for authentic surroundings and a thirst for new experiences. The villas are a short walk to Jimbaran market and temple, a five minute stroll to the famous Jimbaran beach and 10 minute drive from the airport or to the shopping and entertainment areas of Kuta and Seminyak. The formal Balinese architecture makes use of local materials, such as white Palimanan stone, teak wood, and Paras river stone, together with wooden iron wooden shingle roofs. Location: Jimbaran village is located on the southern tip of the island of Bali on the slopes of Bukit Peninsula. The white sandy beaches of Jimbaran bay are only 15-minute drive from the famous Uluwatu temple, Nusa Dua and Kuta Beach. Jimbaran is a great fishing village with stunning white-sand beach that is considered to be one of the Bali’s most beautiful beaches. The village is admired with families for its gentle tides, dramatic sunsets, brightly painted fishing boats and numerous famous beachfront seafood restaurants. ... more   less
