Although sunset may be the most romantic time for a lantern lit seafood dinner on the beach, a lunch time booking offers no crowds, the beach to yourself, and very little wait time for your meal.
New Langsam Cafe certainly doesn't look like much from the street- in fact I was hesitant to enter!- but I trusted our guide and he has been recommending this restaurant to all his clients.
The opportunity to choose your own food, watch it being cooked over the coals, then have it served up looking almost as good as it tastes was so memorable, I drool over the thought!!
We opted for the most elaborate share meal- lobster prawns clams rice fish-plus an extra 1kg snapper.
Each item is covered in a sauce- If you don't all enjoy sambal I suggest going half garlic and half sambal to keep everyone happy! Both were delicious.
We paid $200 Australian dollars for the meal, including tax, which served 4 adults and 2 kids (they have fries and kids options)
Can't wait to go back.
