This is a Bird sanctuary located alongside NH 34 and Kulik River in the outskirts of beautiful small town Raiganj, West Bengal. It's a few days I had managed a vacation for a shorter period from my very busy corporate schedule and took my family for the wonderland.
The government guest house there is fully covered by various types of trees which you can access from the sprawled balcony with a great view of beautifully carved garden where there is a dedicated kids playing zone.
The speciality of the sanctuary is more than a lakh birds directly flown from Siberia which comes every year for six months in this season, breeds and again fly back to Siberia.
We were welcomed by rain this time which we have enjoyed to the fullest by drenching and dancing with the birds, took a dip into the refreshingly cold river of Kulik.
One more amazing thing that we will remember is Robi's tea stall which is a must visit in the evening.
The worst thing was we had to return but took an oath to return soon.
