We have stayed in a hotel near mall road.
Hotel was good & enviroment was also excellent.

On the first dat we covered kempty fall & mall road.

Second day we had gone to Dhanaulti & tehri dam.

you have to take a trolly to reach to kempty fall. It was a nice experience.
in the night we shoped a lot from the mall road.

Food was excellent. we choose aggarwal restaurant.

Food was excellent.

I had a great weekend in Mussoorie.

“Closer to Heaven: Mussoorie”
Reviewed 15 November 2009

I call this closer to heaven as in the area surrounding Mussoorie and even in the hill station, the higher altitude to climb to, the more beautiful it gets.
From national capital New Delhi, one can easily take an overnight train (strongly recommended AC coach in winters as the cold it bitter) to Dehradun, stop for a day and visit Buddha Temple and Sahastradhara, the attractions of that place and then proceed to Mussoorie on bus. Busses leave from Dehradun bus stand for Mussoorie every hour and takes a few hours to reach there depending upon the time of the day. One can also go for taxis, which are faster and more comfortable but much costlier.
You will be, for sure, hailed and strongly so, by the agents of the large number of hotels that have mushroomed in the hill station. Its best to go with a pre-booking.
Sun rise and Sun set as best seen on the road connecting the bus stand and the city library. Rickshaws have a fixed fare there and walking is much more fun.
Once near the library one can go to the tourist office (for best trips reach the office before 10am) to get to a tourist bus, which is the best way to see Mussoorie. The bus takes you to the far off locations of the hill stations, acts as a guide and brings you back in time.
The best attraction of these is the Kempty Falls. These natural falls have turned into a great tourist attraction. Don't forget to try out the ample of Maggi that is available at every small shop there. Everything that is sold there is above MRP (even a small packet of biscuits). An beautiful temple (that is one of the stops of the tourist bus) comes on the way back. Standing there feels like standing on the edge of the world. Gun Hill and The Wishing Well are also worth seeing.
A whole day can be spent there for shopping on the mall road. The best things to buy are Mufflers, Stoles and Shawls.
One long, winding, steep and narrow road, paved with houses and shops, connects the city bus stand to the Tehri bus stand. Occasional buses and shared Taxis take you to Dhanaulti, which is a step closer to heaven. One can see snow capped peaks on the horizon even before reaching Dhanaulti and the sight never fades away, no matter where ever you may be in Dhanaulti. The place allows blissful solitude from a noisy world that exists thousands of feet below it. The trees there are high enough for us to crane our becks to see the top. one can proceed to the apple orchid on horseback and complete the picnic that starts with the two parks in the beginning of Dhanaulti. Be sure to be back by evening, there is no transport at night.
A trip to Mussoorie will give you a smile and freshness that wont fade away for some time, also not to mention the fitness by that fresh mountain air and waliking up and down the long steep roads.
