The place is very dirty , the aircon very noisy and there isn't even a remote in the room , you have to ask it from the reception .

Tonight , I will sleep with my clothes on

There is a ton of mosquitos in the room also

The only advantage is that it's very close to the river , but there are much better hotels nearby

At Ganges river Rooms are fairly comfortable not spotless dining area and kitchen need serious upgrade and cleaning although food is not too bad. Staff is friendly and helpful all at the cost of tips for everything

The name Monastery is not a metaphor. Every morning and every evening a boy and an old man perform a religious service in the lobby. The hotel is modest but the staff is really great and try to help. The view of the Ganga, from the rooftop, is terrific at dawn and sunset. You can walk to the Assi Ghat, just a few minutes from the hotel. The neighborhood is poor but safe. You have the opportunity to see the terrible conditions in which poor people live. You can hire a taxi with a driver who works for the hotel, and also hire a boat to navigate the Ganga. The hotel is clean but basic. Breakfast is basic too.

I spent 2 nights in this hotel and everything was fine. Hot and good shower, good bed... the only negative aspect is the WiFi that basically doesn’t exist, but I’d say everywhere in Varanasi is like this... The breakfast is ok. I also had lunch in the restaurant and wasn’t good, but there are many options near the hotel.

We stayed in this place for two nights. We got there around 12pm after a long trip by train and we were starving and made the mistake of having lunch in the restaurant of the hotel (was terrible!). We ordered the chinese chicken rice and I couldn’t eat because was really bad (looked like they just warmed really old food!).

The room was ok though but the bathroom was not 100% cleaned.

The good thing about this hotel is the friendly staff and a rooftop with a good view to Ganges.

The breakfast was ok.
