That’s why I give maximum priority to safety an security while choosing a hotel, also location and ambience. This time I traveled to the most ancient city of the world, Kashi or Varanasi. Let me tell you this place is a heaven on Earth…a beauty in chaos. Nothing or no place can compare the beauty and the peace this place offers. One of the most important catalysts which made my stay memorable is Amritara Suryauday Haveli where I stayed during my visit. It’s located in Shivala ghat, 200 mtrs from the main road. Don’t worry because the staff will carry your luggage to the hotel, you just have to follow them. I do not have enough words to express my contentment about this place and it’s people or staff. The location, the food, the view from the room, the way they welcomed me with the biggest grin on their faces and the humbleness of each staff are beyond expression. I had the best time there. They have become like family to me now. And, from now on it’s going to be my home whenever I am in Kashi. I must start with expressing my gratitude to the captain of the Amritara Suryauday Haveli ship, Mr Uday (at least for me). This man is a pure gem with a golden heart. He made sure that I feel extremely comfortable during my entire stay. From check in till check out, he is always there to serve his guests with a gentle smile on his face. He is cordial, friendly and always approachable…talking good and ever-smiling. What a humble gentleman this guy and his entire team is. He would be one of the reasons for me to go back to that hotel because I know someone is there to help me for anything I need in Kashi.

I must share an instance to tell about this man’s courteous and helpful nature. On my last day, I went to the reception to inform them about the check out time. He asked me about my experience staying in Varanasi and taking a dip in Ganga…‘Ganga snan’. I told him that I could not go for Ganga dip as I am not comfortable taking dip in Ganga all alone because it’s crowded and all. He promptly replied saying that your Kashi yatra is incomplete without taking a dip in the holy river. He said, “You come with me, I will be there with you. Take your bath-rope and let’s go.’ He took me to the ghat, hold my one hand while I was taking dip in the river. What a heartwarming gesture! Who does that for a guest? I will never forget this affectional gesture of this ever-smiling man. Thank you Uday ji.

I must also thank Shiva, Kanaiha, Ajit and everyone in the hotel who made my stay extremely memorable. These guys were sooooo humble and helpful.
