Hotel tridev was a pleasant surprise for its cost. The rooms were spacious ans well decorated and staff was courteous and helpful. This was my first visit to varanasi and I was delighted to get such a nice hotel at a pretty affordable cost. It is also very close to kal bhairo temple.. just a 2 min walk. All in all a great experience.

Hotel Tridev is located in quite a congested area.Where the traffic movement is slow and sound of horns is very high.BUT the hotel is very neat, rooms very good and clean.Food pure vegetarian, tasty and clean. We ate all our meals in the hotel.Lavish and interesting spread of breakfast, everyday.Over all feeling v good, decor v impressive. The hotel designed to keep the sound of hustle bustle away.
Hotel close to Vishwanath temple and Dashashwamedh ghaat.E-rikshaws and autos readily available.Taxis (ola&others) not so easily available.Guests with self driven cars will face little difficulty.Staff at restaurant and reception v good. Housekeeping staff needs to be fine tuned by the management.

Room tip: Though the hotel is quite noise less inside. But u insist on noiseless room.

It is a nice property close to temple area. Although outside is a busy dirty road but the hotel inside is has good facilities. rooms are good, staff are very helpful. Price wise bit high for its class. breakfast can be improved. The good thing for me was that 'it is all veg hotel'.

New property. The Rooms were clean and neat. Decent place in the middle of a busy market. The restaurant is very good. Prompt service. Access to the Hotel is not great since it is a Market area. The major problem was getting a uber or Ola to the hotel. Auto is the better option for tourists.

This hotel is truly middle of nowhere.

I repent having booked this hotel based on the ratings on TripAdvisor.
Even though it costs 2520 + GST to me with Breakfast - I would say it was not even worth that.
It almost takes Rs. >100 to go anywhere from this hotel and would take anywhere 20 mins to 1 hours just to move around temples or ghats.
The place around this hotel is absolute mess.

The Front Desk is completely incompetent has no idea of the place. If you ask them of routes or good places around they are clueless - Anuj and others.
Only hope is the lady on the front desk.
The Hotel to me insensitive to guests - and please note expecting a customer service is far cry here. One of the members in trip went to pick milk for the kid during the breakfast time and she was told bluntly told this chargeable even though the breakfast was included.

The most hopeless person is Ashish Jaiswal. The guy just doesn't care. I guess many times staff takes a wrongful blame as they follow the institutional guidelines/policy.

Then there was another incident when the Room Service would knock every 5 mins to collect the bottle opener they had provided. I just wondered a rusted old bottle opener wouldn't even cost Rs. 10 - would a staff go to the extent to create nuisance of knocking every 5 mins.

Prior to confirming the hotel booking I had checked for Children <12 year (without extra bed) be complimentary. However to my surprise the second day the Restaurant Manager came to us mentioned that One Kid would be charged (just wondering was it a late wake up call :-)). What more would you do to spoil any damn customer experience you have the opportunity to leverage.

I have stayed in many hotels around the world - in order to walk extra miles Hotel do genuinely make an effort to gain customer pleasantness on things which doesn't cost them, but I guess this hotel isn't the one.

Overall I would give zero rating to Staff Grooming - "Apathetic" is best described you could describe them.

In a place like Varanasi (which is chaotic, polluted, noisy...but spiritual) - The place/location of stay makes a huge difference.
If I were to go back I would chose Something on Assi Ghat, Dashashmedh Ghat, or for that matter Godowlia or Cantonment. AVOID THIS PLACE.

Room tip: East side there is no view but naturally lit from sunlight. In summers Avoid Kaal Bhairon road (west) side as it gets very warm.
