If you are a person who loved to delve into what was the historic significance of a place, this place is bound to impress you.

With its architecture, the longest hall without pillars, lot of significance in the history of Lucknow, Bada Imambara is definitely a must visit.

Its a good idea to take guides as they will tell you nuances that otherwise one tends to overlook.

Recommended to visit if you are visiting Lucknow.

How sound travels in large halls, huge halls with no pillar., Innumerous lanes and by lanes inside the monument, you can get lost. Real Nawabi admiration. Must visit if in Lucknow.
Visited by one and all, atleast once in a lifetime.

Having read in a German guide book that it is amazing how few western tourists visit Lucknow, considering what an attractive and interesting city it is, we can only agree! Right at the top of the list of must-see sights is the Bara Imambara, which not only contains the Imambara itself. The gate leads you into a well-tended garden area with the Imambara, the mosque etc. the Imambara is of impressive size and architectural beauty, but you really need a guide if you want to enter the labyrinth above it (we had one!). Oh, and you need a good head for heights, then you can get some breathtaking camera shots.
