This is a place which has lot of history for all those who love history, but those who are not keen to investigate history but love to enjoy the parks and picnics, this place is equally good for them too. It has huge lawns and parks with beautiful horticulture work. It is in the center of old Lucknow in front of Hotel Awadh Clark.

Hazrat Begum was one of the few women leaders who fought First War of Independence in 1857 against British in India. She was a queen. This park in city is dedicated to her memory. It is a huge park, quite beautiful. It is also a major center of political gatherings and public meetings. One get a sense of medieval history of town in this place.
