I have been visiting this hotel since i was a little girl and use to love the property..it had the lovely mughal charm and warm and friendly staff..but all that changed after my last visit..the hotel has been renovated and it just does not look that appealing. We landed from delhi after a tiring journey and we found the reception looking more like a crowded railways booking counter then a hotel reception.finally we got someone to help us check in and we were told at that only 1 out of 2 rooms would be available at that time (way past checkin time). Also the lady at the reception said that we would get the second room in 15-20 mins however it took more than an hour to give the room and that too was a very shabby room with the air conditioning not functioning properly and master switch board all rusted and not working.
The hotel also had renovations going on and their usual pool was not operational and we were asked to use the spa pool which was dirty and something that can barely pass off as a swimming pool. The garden all around that spa were not well kept.

We decide to eat lunch at the coffee shop. The service was sloppy. We waited for so long just to be served. The staff was not aware of what alcohol options & brands were available. When asked which gin was available the waiter said he didnt know and then he yelled to the waiter who was serving on the other table to ask him which brands were available. The food was good however very over priced for the quality and quantity. Thus we decided to eat dinner elsewhere.

The quality of bed, mattress and pillows was good. However on the whole very disappointing.

My family with three children stayed overnight at this place. After a long day at Taj Mahal, it was refreshing to go to a place that welcomed us with a bright smile, and with efficient service. My reservation was made through Starwood couple of months in advance. Room rates for that quality was took me by surprise. We were escorted to our rooms in minutes. Our children loved their extra beds, which reminded them of exotic Arabian Divan. We had our buffet dinner which had a very nice mix of Indian and continental food. The service was amazing. Morning breakfast buffet in the same place was equally memorable with a fine spread of North and South Indian food along with continental breakfast. Overall, it was an amazing experience and we definitely recommend for any one to stay to stay at this very elegant place.

Room Tip: If you are going in the peak season, book ahead. Book directly with Sheraton or as starwood preferr...

Found this property to be really beautiful. Had stayed here for a couple of days when me and my wife decided to visit Agra over an extended weekend.

It is located very near to the Taj Mahal - about a couple of kms away. We had taken our car so moving around wasn't a problem

The food that we had here was very good. The place also had big lawns and a very specially designed swimming pool. As a family, one could also play a lot of games there - we had played badminton

Built in a mughal architecture style, the place makes you feel like one is living in a palace.

The service was always good, despite the hotel being fully occupied

We stayed for one night at the ITC Mughal. We had booked quite a bit in advance, through Starwood, and got an excellent rate for a night during the "off" season. This was my second time staying in this hotel, and their service is top notch, as is the hotel. We were a family of 4 and requested a room with double beds. The beds are a bit bigger here than other places, and allowed for us to all fit in one room. To make it a bit more comfortable, they provided us an extra bed.

The food as well at this hotel is phenomenal, however, even with offseason pricing on the room, there is no discount on the food. We had the lunch buffet for the four of us, without Alcohol, and the bill was just over $100 (US). I will say it was all wonderful, but pricey nonetheless. During my last stay I had also stayed at Peshwari which was also phenomonal (though much more expensive I believe).

A neat feature of this hotel is that there is a lookout tower from which you can sit and gaze at the Taj Mahal from afar. Though in the offseason, it was difficult to stay too long in the 115 degree F for too long.
