Firstly, this is not at all a resort. This is a homestay. It is a basic one plus one storey house built with a reception desk.
The road to reach there in car is terrible.
When we stayed there they did not have wifi inside rooms. Plus they had mentioned few amenities on makemytrip which was not at all there. There was a badminton court nearby which was not owned by this homestay. The owner told us he can arrange indoor games but sadly all that did not happen.
The cooks did their best to provide good food. However we were not happy with the overall stay.
The photos given by the management misleading and the stay is definitely not worth the cost. These rooms should maximum cost 500/- Rs per night.
I would totally not recommend this place to a family atleast. There is nothing to do around or inside the homestay apart from the tea estate. How much time can you spend in just a tea estate??

the "so kind" staff make this homely place - tea and copious food on tap! There are great views from the rooms - and you can visit the tea production unit. Huge comfy bed - and a nice terrace to enjoy your meals on. Possible to walk down to central Coonoor and out the other side of the valley to the Park. It's very good value for the Western Ghats - so any room dust/fellow host noise can be forgiven.

Room tip: top floor tea plantation facing room is lovely

Don't go by any of the previous reviews, or the bunch of photos available on this and other sites.
They have a great scam going.
The "resort" is at the edge of a tea estate (which is not a part of this lodge!)--all pix on the net are of that tea estate.
So the view from the windows is great. However, if you open the windows, a nauseating smell percolates in from the open drain outside.
Rooms do not have ventilation - 2 rooms out of the three-room family-set did not have any ventilation.
Staff is very friendly, helpful, prepares satisfactory meals, goes out of the way to assist .... but, it is not for socializing that you are visiting Coonoor - you want a comfortable stay.
Avoid at all costs.

Room tip: Choose a room in another hotel.

We stayed at this beautiful property for 2 nights. On the day of our arrival, Rohini called us a few times to check on our arrival time, whether we would need food, if we need help with directions etc. When i informed that we are driving down, Nikhil came to pick us up from Coonoor market area so that we dont have difficulty finding the way. We could see that there were sign boards to reach the homestay and it was small drive from the market , but their gesture was so sweet.
The property is in a beautiful location. Our room had big windows and a beautiful view of tea gardens. The room was basic and very clean. Breakfast was very fresh and tasty. The lady who served us was very friendly and kept asking us to taste new dishes and have large portions :-)
Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you so much Rohini and a special thank you to Nikhil for making our stay so comfortable. Whatever we asked for was served with a smile. And thanks for suggesting us to drive to Coimbatore through Kotagiri. It was heavenly.
