To be clear - this is a heritage hotel in a great location - right on Lake Pichola in the old part of Udaipur. However don’t expect your room to be upon the best in Udaipur. We reserved two rooms - the first appeared to be have just been treated for bugs and there were dead cockroaches near the bath tub. The other room’s shower was missing one of its shower curtains so water from the shower sprayed all over the place. The rooms generally speaking are not the cleanest nor have they been updated. This hotel is using its location to gain customers because in my opinion the cleanliness of the room is not a draw. The rooftop restaurant is really nice - great menu coupled with stunning views of Lake Pichola. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast provided was okay - just don’t get your hopes up for good coffee. Access to the hotel is via tuk-tuk because of how narrow the roads leading to the hotel are so if you are coming in by car you will have to transfer to a Tuk-tuk at some point.

Room tip: Not sure - 2nd floor might have better roooms

This quirky lakeside hotel was such a joy to stay at. We had a lake view room & it was so relaxing & peaceful - and stunning waking up to the views everyday!

The room itself is quite basic, as is the bathroom, but it represents great value for money!

The breakfast here was quite simple & certainly not the best during our trip, but it provided basic sustanance. We had dinner there one night too & that was ok. The staff were very friendly & helpful.

There are some great little restaurants nearby that are worth a visit - Hari Bagh is brilliant! Also keep an eye for the fabulous Udaipur 'fixer' and tuk tuk driver Gudu out the front. He was amazing & helped us to post packages home & anything else that we needed.

This is a great spot & I would highly recommend it. We went to stay at the Taj Lake Palace afterwards & that was heavenly too...

Room tip: Lake view rooms are perfect!

We couldnt have chosen a better value for money hotel in the City of Lakes. Located at the end of a quiet little side street in the old city, you will need a tuktuk with your suitcases to get here. The place oozes charm and character with lovely kind staff and the cherry on top is that its right on the water. We chose a room with an exterior balcony and spent some lovely sunset evenings looking out at the buildings over the lake and their reflections as the light changed. You can even see the City Palace from here. We also enjoyed a nice romantic dinner here at the stunning rooftop restaurant. A few cons: beds were incredibly hard, wifi was patchy, elec kept cutting out (quite common in other parts too) and the noise of the pigeons roosting in the balcony. All in all though I would def return. Thank you to all staff!

The rooms have giant padlocks to secure the rooms from the outside, the inside locks are very secure also. Staff is very attentive and reliable. The hotel is kept very clean, swept, and wiped down often. The lake view rooms with balconies are great. Be sure to get rooms up on the 3rd or 4th floor.
They also have a great restaurant on the roof with great lake views of the opposite shore, castle, and old city. Great food at bargain prices for the view and ease.

Room tip: Above the 2nd floor lake side.
