Nice restaurant

It's a very beautiful restaurant with good food.
We went there twice for lunch and twice for dinner during our three days trip. Food is a bit overpriced, however with the view we didn't mind that since the experience was enjoyable. Rooftop dinners are very nice here for view and the food and drinks, both!

Five stars all the way

A beautiful 350 years old boutique Palace / Haveli immediately adjacent to the City Palace. Very clean, stunning lake facing views, good food and excellent staff. If at all anything the access is limited to rickshaw from about 5 min away. Would love to revisit!

Mixed

We had read rave reviews of this hotel, so booked. First point is there is world of difference between lake facing and non lake facing. We realized and upgraded; be careful there. Second point the breakfast is very lousy; lot of reviews mention this but not sure why they don't fix it. Thirdly the team on front desk is not best; i found them lacking in hospitality, this I didn't feel with general staff. The restaurant had good reviews but having experienced breakfast we did not have patience to try that and went outside. Finally, the views from restaurant are excellent, for that alone it is worth it.

Not good service

We had dinner with our family. But there service was very bad .they spoiled our evening. Just 2 star for view. Food was just OK.. so guys if u don't want to ur mood just shut so don't go there there some other good place

Lovely View & Ambience

Visited in October 21. We had lunch here. There are two dining laces; one, on the rooftop and the other, a floor below. Both have a lovely view of the Lake Pichola. It is adjoining the rear gate of the Palace so if you watch the evening Light & Sound show (worth watching but check the language of the season: English/Hindi), you may walk down in 5 minutes.
If you plan to go, please make reservations ahead. Ask for Abhishek, the restaurant manager. He is very helpful
The staff is very welcoming and the ambience is just right to enjoy the lake view, by day or night. Comfortable, graceful but not distracting.
The food is quite good too. Ask the staff for assistance, if needed. They will not give wrong advice to sell a slow moving/stale/over-priced item.
The only shortcoming is the approach to the hotel. It can only be reached by an auto (tuktuk). No car access due to narrow, old city lanes. So if you have heavy luggage, stay elsewhere but do go for a meal.

Room tip: Choose a lake facing room. It may cost a bit more but is worth the money.
