“Tasty food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 October 2011

This restaurant is situated right next to the Jagdish temple. The thali here was filling and was tasty. The price was just right and location good. This place was recommended by our guide at the palace and lived up to his words.

“In la la”

Amazing view of Jagdish Temple. U hear the prayers/bhajans and the temple bells with a view of not just the old city but almost entire Udaipur...God parden me while sipping ur chilled beer.

Though it's bit of climb but a good exercise. I tried Rajasthani Pizza and it was something different. Best part was the service and courteous staff.

Moneys worth if u ask me

“okay, but could have be better”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 April 2011

To reach Maxim’s Café you have to walk through a tailoring store and quite a few steps up. It’s a two storey restaurant but we would recommend going to the top floor. The view is just amazing. The food was okay but it was definitely not the best food which we had during our visit in India. It was okay but we thought it was not fresh made and the Chapatis were definitely already a day old. But the staff was really friendly and the prices were okay.

“Taste like baby food... bland and mushy...”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 January 2011

We had no qualms deciding the worse food we had, Maxim café takes that honor.

We ordered Malai Kofta and a cauliflower(gobi) curry. After waiting 45 minutes for the food, our meal arrived. To our horror, both dishes were mushy, tasteless and worse than baby food – give me Heinz baby food and I’ll trade the meal with you any time.

Granted we had a good view of the Jagdish temple, but you can't fill your stomach with views alone.
