First of all the place is on the road to Ranthambore and is decently located near the Railway Station.
We arrived late and checked into the hotel. We had booked a morning safari and we were asked to pay Rs 1000 per guest which is double the amount actually needed for the safari. The hotel management pockets the amount. Also, our names were goofed up by the manager in front of me for some other guests and we have to change the jeeps mid way.
As for the room service, they dont provide room service to Indians i guess, as per the hotel manager and we were asked to fetch our own water bottles from the restaurant if we want water in our rooms.
The food is ok but the prices of the food reflect that you are sitting in an Five star hotel. Rs 185 for a Khadai paneer, consider you are paying Rs 1500 for the room rent per day doesnt match up. Prices are over the top and suitable for people who can pay up(read Foreigners).

We wanted to get our luggage packed in cartons and the came the response by the manger that you need to buy cartons from outside and pack the luggage yourselves as we dont provide any services.

Rooms are average and are priced decently.

Apart from the location and the decently priced rooms dont expect anything out of this hotel. and remember it is not a resort just a collection of rooms.
There are many hotels in Sawai Madhopur which will provide you with better service levels at the same price which this hotel offers.
We were at the end of a wonderful trip to Rajasthan and this experience left a bitter taste in our mouths. Never to go back to this hotel ever.

If you don't know..there is very little in sawai madhophur so the choice of hostel is important.

Tiger safari served our needs, it was basic but it was a bed at a decent price. You'd probably go elsewhere for food but if you're simply stopping over to do a safari I'd recommend.

Our family of 6 were happy to arrive at this small hotel after a long train trip from Delhi. The management and staff are fantastic and helpful as well as candid about the hawkers all over town. The gift shop is well priced with a variety of lovely fabrics and keepsakes. The menu had something for everyone in our family: 9, 10, 11 and 12 year old kids included! The swimming pool was a welcome respite from the noon day heat. Our safaris were wonderful and we even saw a TIGER as well as outstanding variety of ancient construction amid flora and fauna. The rooms were comfortable and quiet.

Room Tip: inside rooms facing the pool were very quiet and each had a balcony or private sitting area.

stayed here when on our trip to Rajasthan in Feb 2012. We reached here from Jaipur late at night. Our rooms were ready and clean. Hot water is available only for certain hours and not all the time. The owner is helpful, he suggested and helped us with our travel arrangments while going back to Jaipur. He also arranged a rickshaw for us on our way back. Its a decent clean place to stay, but not a resort. Dont expect much and you might end up liking the place.

One thing they could do is improve the restaurant. The portions are small and seem over priced. Else, had a comfortable stay here.

There aren't that many options in Rathambore, and it's not the kind of town that you can easily walk around to a few hotels to check rates as we usually do, so we picked the best looking deal from Lonely Planet and went there. We did expect to pay a bit more in Rathanbore, but it turned out that the cheapest room they offer was 1800 Rps (breaky included) - 3 times our normal budget. I will say that it was a nice and clean room with hot water, however, it was of equal or lesser standard than what we usually paid 5-600 for. So it was without question, the worst value room that we had in India.
The management was quite rude and agressive, and not even a little bit helpful. We booked a safari through them, and they swore up and down that 1200 was the set rate that every company in the area charges for the large canter tours. Turns out that every other hotel in the area only charges 1000. Not only that, but the booking was dodgy, they forgot about us, and they ended up picking us up an hour late and we didn't even get a seat. We had to lean on the side of the jeep the whole trip with the guide standing over us. When we asked the manager about the situation he just yelled at us.
Pool is ok, but nothing to write home about. It's very small.
Food is pretty average, restaurant staff unhelpful, and the evening buffet is the most expensive in town. We ended up just walking down the road to a better and friendlier restaurant with much cheaper food.
Overall - don't stay here if you can avoid it. There was very little that I enjoyed about the hotel or the tour they offered. We left the town with a bitter taste in our mouth.
