“Wonderful stay at wonderful place”
Reviewed 14 July 2012

This place is a gem, very close to the Ranthambhore national park, just about 5 minutes away. The place is run by Lalit and Ashish shukla, both of them have immense knowledge about the nearby forests and wild-life around them.
One should be clear though, it is not a five star property, it is not for people who want to stay indoors. The tents are wildish look, the places is beautifully landscaped, although little rustic.
The property itself has many butterflies and birds that visit the garden.
If you are interested in jungle safaris and want to learn about jungles and wildlife, this is the place for you.
For us Lalit personally accompanies us on most of the safaris and that was a great experience. The alarm calls of animals, trying to look for tigers, how to follow them, all of that makes for a great experience.
Logistically, they took care of everything including pick up and drop off from railway station to their property. The meals were great, catered to our (and our 9 year old daughter's taste). One can pretty much set the menu for himself if you so desire.
They gave us personal attention for all our needs and the experience was once in a lifetime.

Room Tip: The abrar place is very nice place .

We spent four amazing nights in this wonderful place. Pawar & his staff were great. The accommodation was very comfortable, and the staff ensured that anything that you could need was there for you - if it wasn't there already. The food was excellent, Indian cuisine - even to the point of accommodating a Westerners not too hot taste. Rumble looked after us, from bringing our garam chai at 05h00 in the morning to ensuring that our hot water bottles were placed in our beds at bed time. We were fortunate enough to have a couple of glimpses of the elusive tiger - which of course is what people go for - however the chital, langur, birds & other animals that we saw were also phenomenal. I would definitely recommend Abrar Palace & Jungle Camps.

Room Tip: We had a weeklong holidays at abrar palace just green so much wonderful place i love to go again.

My friends are regulars at Abrar Palace & Jungle Camps in Ranthambhore and had been pestering me to join them on this year. I am glad I accepted their offer to join them this year. What a place this turned out to be. This resort turned out to be more than I was told and promised by my friends. Right from the warm welcome, to the well furnished villa rooms, to the home cooked food, to the great service that I received in abundance has spoilt me. The tents are surrounded by trees all around and birds of different species twitter away. We even had a Wild Rabbit visit us once. Such lovely tents in the middle of nature drew my breath away. I have to Appreciate Bhupendra ji the safari manager was fantastic and knew more about trekking tigers than the local guide provided by the forest department. I was lucky to spot a tiger in every safari that we took - 100% sightings. Every evening when we returned from the safari we would be welcomed with wet towels and squash and we would proceed to a common area where we would be served tea, coffee, drinks, cookies and we can exchange our sightings with fellow guests staying at the resort. Of course none of this would be possible without the eagle eye of Mr. B.S. Pawar who is the G.M. of this resort. I unfortunately could not meet him as he was out of town, but was impressed that the staff was well trained to carry on normally without him being present. I certainly would take this opportunity to thank everyone at Abrar Palace & Jungle Camps, Ranthambhore for gifting me wonderful lifetime memories.

We visited Ranthambhore few days back, stayed for 4 days of absolute bliss in paradise. We have been to the Abrar Palace & Jungle camps for the third year in a row & promise to keep visiting this resort every year. Each year the service by the owner Mr. Lalit Shukla & his ever smiling crew is unbelievable gets better & better. Right from the station/airport pickups, to the warm welcome, to the super comfortable Tents, to the delicious food, to the safaris, to the tearful farewell is unbelievable. His drivers especially montu can easily pass off as qualified naturalists & guides. Its best to book safaris in advance (3 mnths) & Mr. Bhupendra Sharma will gladly oblige. We are overfed starting with breakfast, lunch & dinner & his staff is led by Satish & ably supported by the ever smiling Mrs. B.S. Pawar who feels slighted if you eat less. They even give you lunch/dinner parcels to carry on the way back. This resort comes closest to being heaven on earth, away from the hustle & bustle of city life. The property is well maintained, clean & hygienic at unbelievable prices. The Tents are wildish, setup with excellent use of mind and are surrounded by flora & fauna all around. They have a library which give you all the info that you need on the tigers of Ranthambhore, do read the book "Ranthambhore The Tiger paradise" Great care is taken to conserve water & there is a feel of being one with nature at this heavenly resort. The staff here is the best and there are not enough words to describe the true warmth and caring that they shower on you. Thank you for creating wonderful lifetime memories for us Mr. Lalit Shukla.

Room Tip: its better to stay in tents to feel near the nature

We stayed at Abrar jungle camp for 3 nights after spending 3 nights amongst the bustle of the hotels at ranthambhore. This hotel was a contrast to our first hotel with more relaxed surroundings and a more conservationist attitude to it's surroundings.
The staff at were friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived and the peace and quiet of the surroundings was extremely well appreciated.

The tents were amazing example of good design, its designed like shelter in the middle of jungle, extremely comfortable and welcoming after a day out in the dust.

The main focus of out trip was (obviously!) Tiger watching and the enthusiasm of Pawar for this were as great as ours with huge excitement from all in the gypsy when a tiger was spotted. But the knowledge of the staff in all aspects of the wildlife of Ranthmabhore was great and so useful to us. We were able to tick off so many animals and birds from our field guide that we wouldn't even have seen without the abilities of our guides.

The food was good,

The staff work so hard to make sure your holiday is what you want it to be, as for us this was seeing as many tigers as possible this meant as many game drives as possible, meaning lots of early morning for the staff as well as us.

I would recommend Abrar jungle camp to anyone wanting to go to Ranthambhore for a more conservation based holiday. The site is in the edge of the park and has been developed to keep this at it's heart, with it's own Jungle trek you can visit when you aren't out on game drives.

If you want to go to Ranthambhore I would certainly suggest you check Abrar tents out.

Room Tip: abrar tents are little different experience
