A nice guest house run by a family who live on the top floor.Very clean and attractively painted.The Younger son speaks good English and is friendly.Food is very good and room service possible.Room was clean and nice but ver6 cold but that’s not their fault as it was a January.Very convenient for the Tiger Reserve which is just down the road.Also town and shops nearby.The guest house is in a village but that is no problem.Would go there again

Gulshan the hotel manager is passionate about his guests seeing tigers and offered us several options. We ended up doing three safaris, two by canter and one in a jeep and were lucky to see a tiger on two occasions. He seemed to be well connected to the tiger safari system and had intelligence on the latest tiger sightings and which zones would optimise our chances. The Village Heart is well located for doing a safari and we enjoyed meeting his family who live on the top floor. The rooms were small and there isn't much of a communal space but the food was excellent and good value for money. I would recommend the Village Heart for a small hotel family experience.

We stayed for one night to do a tiger safari in Ranthambore. I really liked the village and the building the hotel is in was really nice. We had a good meal for a reasonable price.

The issues we had were:
1) we booked a tiger safari in a Jeep (as opposed to a canter) through the hotel three days prior to arriving and were told it was confirmed. They said they couldn’t 100% guarantee zones 1-6 (which we understood were the better zones for the safari) which was fine. When we got to the hotel we paid for the room and the safari (Rs 8000 total). Then just as we were going to bed, the hotel manager came and told us he couldn’t get us on a Jeep. We had a robust discussion with him and he said he would try. In the end he did manage to get us our seats on the Jeep safari but he complained about the process a lot and told us “it was expensive for him” to do so. This was annoying, especially as I have read that the tickets for a safari are normally about Rs 1800, and we were charged Rs 3000 by the hotel (ie he was already making a significant commission). Anyway, he sorted it, but maybe wouldn’t have if we hadn’t applied quite a lot of pressure.
2) not very clean (bathroom and food serving utensils).
3) very noisy, unexpectedly for such a small town. Might have been a one off but there were tractors driving past all night.

I would recommend to stay here but book your own safari tickets. My wife would not recommend to anyone.
