We had a great 3 night stay at Mandore Gardens. If you want to be close to the action of Jodhpur (Clock tower, Mehrangarh Fort) it's a good 20 mins away and may not be for you, although if you need a place to relax you won't find anywhere better in Jodhpur. Also very close to Mandore Gardens.

The hotel gardens are lovely and the staff are always at hand without being intrusive in anyway. Sanjay is a great host and very approachable and helpful and will give honest information without trying to exploit you in anyway, which can be rare in Indian hotels.

Hot water was a bit iffy (I always seemed to have hot showers and my partner cold ones) but apart from that the rooms are really nice. All in all would definitely stay again if back in Jodhpur.

Our stay at the Mandore Guesthouse and volunteering with the Mandore project was a fantastic way to combine service and travel, and it more than met our expectations! We taught English to 4th and 5th graders, for about 2.5-3 hours every morning at a rural primary school. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed this experience and learned many things from the children, their teachers, the other members of the community, and our project manager, Sanjay. We are grateful and honored to have had the opportunity to participate in the mandore project and to connect with the local community. The schools the Mandore Project helps are lucky to have such dedicated and inspiring people creating lasting change.

Our stay at the Mandore Guesthouse itself went far beyond our expectations. It is a beautiful green haven away from the busy city with the most accommodating staff we have encountered in India. The food at the restaurant is delicious and was included in the reasonable volunteer costs. The staff looked out for us like friends or family, making sure every need was met, sometimes even before we knew we needed it.

Our time with Mandore Guesthouse/Project was a highlight of our time in India and we would recommend it to anyone wanting to volunteer or simply stay in Jodhpur.

A beautiful and very well maintained guest house.
Check In: It was smooth we checked in evening and the had few options of rooms left. We were given two rooms on the ground floor and one on the top floor which is a super deluxe room. Rooms were spacious and clean. The room just next to main gate was not upto mark. rest of the rooms were awesome. Super deluxe room is very very large.
Service: Staff is just adequate and is always seen running around. The service is quick but during rush hours it gets affected.
There are numerous plants and tree in the resort. It has ample parking space.
Food: Food was Delicious , Pasta was not perfect. The indian dishes specially the dal was nice.
Wifi was pathetic and can definitely be improved.
We were not able to use the swimming pool as it was chilling morning :)
Overall a beautiful property located on outskirts of jodhpur. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Super deluxe if in budget

We had a lovely 2-night stay at Mandore Guesthouse whilst we were on a tour through Rajasthan. Our room was clean and modern with lots of space to relax.
The restaurant here has amazing food with great service, including breakfast. We had our laundry done through the guesthouse and it all came back in perfect condition! Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

This is an isolated hotel in the middle of nowhere. It’s a nice place to relax if you want to be left alone. The gardens are lovely; in fact the whole site is very serene. If you want any service, it’s hit and miss as the staff can be hard to find. The shower was cold and the wifi was impossible during my stay.
