Absolutely lovely! Nice, spotless simple rooms, lovely courtyard restaurant, great building, fantastic pool area, good staff. A little away from the city (10 mins and 80R autorickshaw) which we liked. Free WIFI in public areas. Hope to be able to go back. One if the best we experienced.

This is my third stay at Ratan Villas and I found that the quality has really dropped. The rooms are very comfortable however the breakfasts were very bland and the quotes for their drivers were more than double what I ended up paying. I asked in at another hotel and their staff even laughed at my quotes from Ratan Villas.

Absolute luxury. Sat by the swimming pool, with a drink & the best masala papad ever. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We stayed for our first time in Jan 2012.
After 12 days on the road we felt like we were at home. Brijraj, his family and staff are professional with a warm, homely touch. Beautiful meals. Fantastic afternoon tea on the lawn
We will be going back.
If you are a horse-person let them know. the owner Brijraj and his family are from a long line of famous horsemen,

We stayed as family of six, 2 children, 2 parents and 2 grandparents for 4 nights. We booked 3 rooms and when we first arrived were place on the ground floor rooms opening up on to the courtyard. We found it very difficult to get to sleep as lots of noise from guest drinking in the courtyard filtered in. Fortunately management moved my husband and I the next day, with parents moving the day after to the upstairs rooms which proved quieter. The rooms themselves are more modern upstairs, all had very good hot showers which didn't run out (essential in January) and in fact I would rate the showers as one of the best we had in India. Breakfast was okay with standard omelette, toast, juice etc., however some days it seemed quite disorganised with no utensils on the table and having to ask for toast and tea more than once. You would see quite a few staff around doing very little which was confusing when you needed these things. Perhaps more training should be given to staff which would certainly benefit the guests. There is an internet access with a computer which I found useful and the gardens outside are lovely with lots of seating areas. The beds are comfortable, just make the request not to be given ground floor accommodation unless you are prepared to stay up yourself.

Room Tip: Request upstairs rooms as downstairs was far too noisy with the courtyard.
