we spent two nights in this hotel in july 2012. We keep a perfect memory of this hotel, the manager is the most nice person we meet in India, very generous and kind. The hotel is beautiful : a roof top in the fort, to have a perfect view and immersion in Jaisalmer. The room was pretty, confortable and clean. We'll go back, it's sure !

Room Tip: ask for the honeymoon room if you can

We felt really lucky to have stumbled across Hotel Victoria on the net. It was easily one of the best hotels in terms of hospitality, in our experince. We had arranged our stay and desert safari before our arrival and Sushil received us very warmly, gave us a good room with a great view at a good rate. Food, water (priceless in July in a desert!) and lots of cold coffee were included in our tariff. A nice AC car with stops at tourist places was arranged to take us to the desert where we found two camels waiting for us. We had arranged only for a one night stay there and although we checked out in the morning when Sushil learnt that our train was at night, he insisted we come back in the evening after going around the city. When we did, we were offered a nice small room to freshen up and even dinner! Then he arranged for an auto to take us to the station on time. Although we have stayed in many places before, the sort of hospitality we received here was unprecedented. The location was great, the view from the restaurant and room almost unbelievable, the food simple and healthy and the staff extremely helpful. Overall, an excellent experience, will definitely visit again and recommend to others! Thanks for a great time Sushil :).

This small family hotel (6-7 rooms) is ideally situated, inside the citadelle. The rooms are all decorated differently and tastefully in Indian style, we found them very comfortable. The staff are helpful and very welcoming, you almost feel part of the family! Food is good and served on the rooftop where the view over the city and out onto the desert is breathtaking! Definitely one of our best memories where hotels are concerned and one of the nicest places we stayed in.

Room Tip: Most rooms have a breathtaking view of Jaisalmer and the sunset

Wonderful vimucho rom the roof top and room number 2. Unless you have a view from your room, I do not think the hotel has much to offer.

Other positives: provides pickup (but no dropping) to from station/entrance of the fort, good food, excellently location inside the fort.
Negatives: expensive for the quality of rooms and level of hygine, the hotel is not transparent about its costs and extras and avoided making clear agreements despite asking to confirm at every stage. We were asked to pay without providing any bills and by telling us that we were offered a very good rate because we booked well in advance.

Room Tip: Choose room no 2 or any other room with a view.

we had gone with the family of five to this hotel.
the rooms were very small and decor of each room was very shabby.
the food served was terrible andhad to eat out most of the time.
to reach to this home mad into a hotel is very cumbersome and had to pay double charges to the auto rikhshaw person.
theroom tarriff charges were exorbitent.
we would not recommend people to go there.. and will never go to this place in future.
