Gadsisar Sagar lake is an artificial lake and one of the most visited spots in Jaisalmer. We visited the lake in the evening, when the place was crowded. The lake has many chhatris and shrines of hindu Gods and goddesses. We did boat ride, which was enjoyable during sun set, also witnessed light and sound show in the evening from boat itself. Several restaurant / food stalls are available nearby, option for local / souvenir shopping is also available. Paid parking is available too. Overall enjoyable time spent.

We visited this sight with a guide and very early in the morning. It was the perfect decision. There were very few people around and the weather wasn’t hot yet. There is no gate or a fee so I don’t understand the 8 AM opening time. We spent some time taking many photographs and got a history lesson. It is well worth the visit. It’s easily accessible with a car.
