The lake area is nice, but it is very dirty and there are many single men (locals) loitering about so beware. A nice way to ill half an hour, but not much beyond that.

A cost performance ratio is very high.
The room where the price is good comparatively.
There was a balcony in the room where I stayed. At a balcony, I relaxed.
And the recommendation point which is most is the best scenery from the roof.
It's very wide, so you can also have a meal. I stayed for 3 nights, and I had a meal mostly on the roof.Because the view was the best.
Everyone of a staff including an owner as well as were very kind, and they're gentle.
If you are going to go long journeys, I recommend this hotel.
JAISARUMERU next time, I'd like also to stay here next time.

This is the only water body near Jaisalmer and can be such a quaint place to relax. But the lake is drying up fast and needs to be looked after immediately. There are boats for going around, but with so less water, why give Rs 100 to paddle around.
People feed the fish and throw the packets of bread there itself. The authorities need to be strict for such uncivilised people.
You get a wonderful view of the lake with fort in the background, but I hardly saw any guides taking the tourists there. Yes, you have to walk a bit around the bank of the lake, and it's not particularly clean, but if you want a great view -- walk to the other side. It's usually quiet, so you can sit near the lake for sometime. But I'm sure it'll be different during the season time!!

i went there with high hopes but my hopes got shattered when i saw it offers no great view!
it is just another lake with boating activity and localites would be seen their feeding fishes.
also, there is garbage scattered all around which is not pleasant to see. there is folklore museum also nearby entry fee 10 rupees. i seen that because i was disappointed by the lake

This lake is located at the heart of the city of Jaisalmer close to the fort. The lake was excavated in 1367 by Rawal Gadsi Singh. The lake collects rainwater and was the main water source of this water scared city in old days. The lake is surrounded by number of temples and shrines. The area is nice and within a desert backdrop looks as a real oasis.
