Its a simple lake, with a few structures inn between. The reflection of those structures is good to see, but it's okay to skip it if you are short of time.

Unfortunately I found this potentially beautiful place to dirty and run down. Worth a look though as is an important landmark in the city.

Okay but disappointing in comparison to the pictures we'd seen online. A lot of young Indian guys were hanging out here and leaving their food and drink waste so the place was covered in glass bottles! The water was dirty and there was graffiti on the temples. The monuments were still nice though and it is worst a visit if you're in Jaisalmer!

Gadsisar lake is an artifical lake built in 14th Century in Jaisalmer city. It's basically a water conservation tank built to conserve rain water. There are numerous shrines and temples in the surroundings of this lake. We visited the lake in the evening around the sunset time. We enjoyed boat ride in the lake. It was a pleasant experience. There were several beautiful ducks in the lake. There was calmness and peace in the atmosphere around the lake.

The lake is really pleasant and has lots of places to sit and relax. The gazebos in the lake are nice and easy to get to.
