Brilliant accommodation in the Jaisalmer Fort. Wonderful location, engaging proprietor, very nice and professional staff, great view from the terrace at breakfast. All sights easily to be reached on foot. We loved it! Stayed two nights?

Great location, stunning view of the city and the fort. Breakfast only (very average quality ). No pressure in the shower and cold water only. Pricely for the level of service. Cleaning could be more neat. Needs to be modernised a bit. Go and have dinner at the Italian restaurant at the bottom of the fort. Great pizzas.

There is no comparison to staying in the fort. Wonderful terrace with amazing views of the city. Breakfast was served there with the best fresh squeezed orange juice I've ever had. The staff was not merely courteous, friendly, and efficient, but they went out of their way to be helpful. Good location for visiting the temples inside the fort and the markets outside the fort. The rooms were decorated with local furnishings, not like a sterile hotel. The one caveat - cars are not allowed in the fort. You can take a tuk-tuk, but we arrived very very late at night so we had to walk. It is not a bad walk in the daytime, but at midnight after a long day, it seemed arduous. But unless you have a severe mobility problem, don't let that keep you from staying in this great place. You won't regret it.

Lovely hotel in the fort - although the rooms may be a bit on the small side they are very nice, with private bathroom. Hotel is centrally located within walking distance of most places to visit. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpfull. Love the attitude of staff - helped us with a booking for desert excursion and overnight stay. Breakfast with a great view of the city. Will certainly go back if visiting Jaisalmer again.

Sure, you can stay outside the town at the new Marriott, but this is the real thing. No car traffic inside the actual fort, so you are taken to the hotel by tuk-tuk. We had rooms 9 and 10, which are on the top level, and both were amazing. The staff served tea anytime up there on the terrace, and a lovely outside breakfast made to request as well. It was also a wonderful place to have wine and relax after a long day. Room 10, which I believe was the honeymoon suite, has several wonderful private sitting areas, and even a juliet balcony overlooking the city below. Could the shower use a little more water pressure? Sure - but remember where you are and why you are there! This is perfect.
