If you are looking for a camel and jeep safari with tent stay and cultural program with meals and pickup/ drop included from Jaisalmer, look no further than Bhati. Their costs are reasonable and their accommodations are at par with other better advertised camps. Ask for tailor made packages for other packages activities off the beaten track.
Details: This was our first visit to Sam and we were not very keen as we’d already done a very personalized and immersive desert stay elsewhere. So, we ended up checking out various options and decided on Bhati based on their prices and reviews. We were not disappointed. We were picked up at our hotel in Jaisalmer city and dropped back the next day after a stop at Kuldhara village. Our package included a night stay with tea, evening snacks, cultural program, dinner and breakfast.
Pros: In spite of discussing only on phone and (skeptically) making an advance payment online, we were picked up and dropped right on time. The folks at Bhati were friendly and knowledgeable, and the only thing we wished was different was if they had some other easily accessible packages other than the usual touristy stuff (camel ride and dune bashing). The folks do such stuff, but tailormade only.

Cons: Personally, the songs and jokes during the cultural program were too corny for us. Also the free camel ride lasted 15 mins only, with the guide pestering us for 300 rs for tips (camel rides start from around 50 so this was absurd) and insisting on paragliding and other activities, though this has nothing to do with the Bhati camp management.
Advice to management: please offer some packages to cater to other kinds of folks rather than the camel ride and jeep safari. We wish we were given other non touristy options like wildlife watching or staying the night in the desert instead of the usual stuff everyone gets offered.
Until the next time! Thanks!! More
