The first impression entering into the hotel was as if you are not wanted. There was no one at the main door of the hotel when we entered. We had to help ourselves taking the luggage out of the car, check-in to the reception and ask the front desk to assign a person. The staff is fairly care-free and it seems they are ok even if the hotel rooms go empty.
Coming to the property, it is truly royal and a part of the palace. Laxmi Niwas is another property next to Lallgarh which looked great. The rooms are good, bathrooms are clean and hygienic. There are couple of big gardens where-in you can see peacocks enjoying their space. And there is a museum too which one can visit during day-times. Restaurant staff are kind and the food was well-made.
While checking out and requesting the staff to send in a person for picking the luggage, we had to help ourselves after we waited for 10-15 minutes.
Apart from the check-in and check-out, the overall stay was good.More
