“Chaturshrungi Temple, SB road Pune”
Reviewed 23 December 2012

Close to Univ of Pune, this place is on top of the hill. To reach the shrine, one must climb a series of steps. Worth visiting to seek the blessings of the goddess. Sep/ Oct period, during Navratri, prepare to wait for a couple of hours, before you get an opportunity to see the goddess.

“Fair at Dusserah Time”
Reviewed 15 December 2012

It was a big fair in the 70s and 80s. Now it is restricted. Old timers say that they had no good road in early 20th century. Angal family has well kept the campus, temple and Exihibition Hall. There was a talk in last decade of a rope way to reach the temple from base of hill. Only Devi might know, when it is going to come in exiestance.

“Temple on the hill”
Reviewed 28 November 2012

My quest to know about the temples in India took me to this place. It was not far from Shivaji Nagar. You will have to walk few steps up to view the deity. The most amazing feature is how a small hill had come up in the middle of the city. The temple looked beautiful on the hill.

“Temple Up on a Hill”
Reviewed 23 November 2012

A very Good Temple. It is on the Senapati Bapat Road, on a Hill.

Lot of Commercialisation has happened on its foot hills but, very good View of the City from the Top.

“Temple of goddess”
Reviewed 29 August 2012

We have visited Chaturshrungi many times. It is a place to find fun with peace. The stairs help you put physical effort and the temple helps you calm down later. It has everything, neat and tidy with proper toilet facilities.
One has to take prasad from the entrance or start of stairs and after climbing to the height has to submit the footware and walk bare foot inside the temple.
Important is to continue the prakrama of the temple and end it inside the temple again.
I would prefer then to spend a quite time with family in the garden sitting area and appreciate the nature.
Inside the town, it is a paradise ready to embrace you everything you visit it.
