Fort situated at top of the hill provides a good view of the city. The place is good especially when you go to see the sun rise or in monsoon season.
You will get good glimpse of cultural food. However, i didn't find anything great in the food but one time try is must.

There are 2-3 ways but if you will take help of google maps, it will take you from the shortest direction :)
Overall if you need just to go out of the house then This is the place.

We trekked up to the fort from the valley, and had our driver drop us off at the bottom and pick us up at the top. At this time of the year (early March) it's a hot hike and you want to get an early start. We left too late (around 9 am) and the hike itself was quite hot and taxing for some members of the party. Locals suggested getting started much earlier, before dawn.

The trek is largely straight up; the track is rocky, slightly confusing in places, and rough. Be sure to bring lots of water, although there are numerous huts along the way selling water, drinks, and snacks. Allow an hour at least unless you are in a serious hurry. The trail was fairly busy on a Sunday morning, but not bothersome crowds. It would definitely be a cooler hike after monsoon, although probably a lot more muddy and slick. In a few points, you have to scramble on all fours.

Once on top, there is a lot to see. Many small vendors, lots of ruins. Several comments on this board have said there was not much to see there. We did not find this to be true - circumnavigating the old fort turned up lots of interesting spots to view or get on top of battlements, there is a village of sorts on top, various stalls selling different items, and wonderful, 360-degree views of the area and down to Pune. The smog steals part of the view, but we found the view better in the afternoon. Lots of old buildings and structures, great viewpoints. The fort was busy with many visitors, although not crowded.

We've been in Pune 2 months, and this day trip was one of the highlights of our time here. Highly recommended.

Sinhagad fort, especially during Monsoons is absolutely brilliant. The drive up, the local food on top, absolutely amazing. One of the best places around Pune :)

Went there just 2-3 times, and once after monsoon. This time is the best if you want a breezy, and sahyadri-green experience.I decided to trek to the top, in the evening, so that I am in time to see the sunset, which was exceptional. As such, there is not much to see on top.
