“The Monolith Wonder.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 July 2012

Ellora Caves is a must see. This is a world heritage site. Those who have seen Petra in Jordan will appreciate it a lot. The bathrooms at this site are not very clean. You can always ask the attendant to clean it before you use it. There is a Restaurant, the food is tolerable. The Beer is great. Ask for Kingfisher Premium or Fosters. Wear light clothing and good running shoes or sandals. Sun glasses and hats should be worn. When in India please purchase sunurn lotions SPF 30 before you enter India. These are very expensive in India. There are quite a few good hotels. If you can afford it the five star "Taj Intercontinental" is superb and the food is terrific. Great for western tastes. The 4 star "Vits" is a bargain. The rooms are clean and well furnished. The Bathrooms are modern. However, no bathtub. Just a shower. The food is mostly "south asian" but good. Stick to Kingfisher premium Beer. They have a nice bar, but do not know how to make cocktails!

“Some great sculptures”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 July 2012

It is a simply amazing site to visit. Who would imagine that at a time when even transport was scarce, how did people get in there and the awesome sculptures made the visit worthwhile.
