My visit to kalsubai peak was an amazing affair. Known to be the highest(5400km) peak of maharashtra, you have to be ready for the climb. It was fun in wilderness, however a complete energy drainer. One has to be careful while climbing the railings.
Climate: Monsoon is a good season, but it's slippery all the way if it rained in the night.
U have some energy boosters on your way,
Stopover: Water, bhajia, lemon drink, cucumber- beetroot salad.
One of the best place to trek with your friends n family. Adventures n exciting do visit kalsubai for once atleast !

The view from top of the peak is beautifying. This is the highest peak of Maharashtra. We went via bike. There are 2 ways to reach there. The road is under construction so we went via Peepli GAO. If you are planning to go by car then follow the main road as Village Road is too narrow and not maintained.

Trekking was always a fun , with multiple exzitingggg spots ...we had found Karnala challenging , so when we started the trek Kulsubai peak was funn ..
Finding the starting point was a challenge , and speaking to helpful villagers made it easy.
The trek initially was fairly uneventful , but later walk up over the iron steps , was something mind boggling.
We found , on our return journey , some of the brave trekker , going up in the dark for a night out awsum awsum is the word for the must make trek

Kalsubai is a 6.6 km long trek with an elevation gain of around 2700 ft. This is a one day trek having easy difficulty level with lush green landscapes and multiple waterfalls. The peak attracts many trekkers and devotees determined to scale the mountain. To reach the summit there are well designated trekking routes. The most popular route is through the eastern mountain face taking off from the base village Bari.

To reach Kalsubai peak, one has to reach to its base village Bari which falls between Ghoti and Akole route. Mumbaikars can catch local upto Kasara from Central Railway. After reaching Kasara, there are two options: State Transport bus plying to Akole/Sangamner. In the afternoon, there is bus at 2:30 pm which will take you upto Bari village. Fare of Kasara - Bari is ₹70, Second option is share Jeep but it will be too much congested and they take ₹120 per person.
After reaching Bari, there are two options, either stay in Homestay also there are few hotel which can provide accommodation.
I choose homestay Adiraj also known as Krushnavanti run by Raju Bharmal (Contact - 7350827854 ). They will charge (₹200 per meal and ₹300 for stay) for one day per person. One can opt their services for morning/night trek.
Raju Bhau and their family is very humble and caring towards their guest. I spent two fantastic days with them.
Raju Bhau also showed me nearby places and guided me for my remaining journey.

About Kalsubai peak -
It will take 1.30 Hrs to reach Kalsubai peak if you are a fit enthusiast else extra one hour. There are eatery shops enroute to peak. Some portion of the trek has iron ladders which will help in ascend and descend. Monkeys can aslo be seen nearby these ladders. Refrain yourself in carrying food in hand or open bag in these patches.
After reaching peak, There is small temple of Goddess Kalsubai surrounded by serene mountains. One can sit here for one hour before start descending.
Right from Bari village till peak, except few spots, there is no mobile range.
Nearby places to Kalsubai are - Bhandardara (18 km), Ratangad, Sandan Valley, Taked (Lord Ram with Jatayu temple). It will require additional 2 days to see these places.
