I have actually been to Khajuraho three times and each time was more fantastic than the first time. This is indeed one of the most magical places on the planet. The only other place that comes close is Angkor Wat. The temples are filled with so much history, incredible art and architecture dating back more than 1500 years.

I have three suggestions.

1. If you are on a pilgrimage, go to the museum first and visit Ganesh.

2. Go to the sound and light show.

3. Meditate at sunrise at the temple of the 64 yoginis.

Monumental temples with amazing stonework. Don't also miss the evening light and sound show for 350 Rupees.
