My boyfriend and I loved our stay at Anamkia. Clean and spacious rooms in quiet setting. The resort is a 5 minute walk from the main cliff which makes it nicely set back from any noise. Pool was amazing and the bed was super comfy. Anandhu the hotel manager was really helpful. He arranged transport for us, gave us some tips on where to go next. Would stay here again.

The hotel was amazing. Regi & Anandhu were very helpful and very kind people. Worth the money spent.Strongly recommend this place if you are visiting Varkala.
Pros:The rooms were clean and spacious. Facilities were good. Not very far from the beach. Helpful people. Clean pool.
Cons: No wifi. No restaurant though u have many choices around the place.

Room tip: Rooms are spacious and the view towards the pool is good. Overall a good experience.

The hotel looks good from the outside and has a great pool, but this is where the good parts end. The rooms come with no addons like Dental kit, Tea Coffee Sachets, Kettle, dustbins etc. The staff was courteous That didnt really help the experience. We got a cockroach in our room, which we killed and it was promptly surrounded by ants. The bathroom shower enclosure door was missing. The matteress was bad and gave us a backache.
The kitchen is non existent. The booking said free breakfast but the quality is quite poor. The dining hall was dusty and looked unused. The hotel staff told us to eat outside as the options were better. e had to ask for everything - Bread, butter, jam, toast....not a good experience. The TV was placed 90 deg to the bed so we had to crane our necks to watch it. Most of the english channels were missing.
The WiFi was pathetic to say the least and we had to survive using our own data connections. The WiFi password was given with great reluctance, that too after asking.
Scouting around Varkala, we found out better hotels at much cheaper rates. This hotel can be definitely missed. We booked it through MakeMyTrip and will not make that mistake again. A definite miss.

Room tip: Avoid the hotel

I could write so much about our stay at this hotel, but it boils down to some key issues that sums it up pretty well:

1. The breakfast served can not be called breakfast. For example, nothing to drink except warm water or bad coffee. Not very popular with children I can tell you.
2. Our group had 4 rooms and in every single room something or several things were broken and not fixed during our stay even though we reported it to the hotel.
3. The service level is basically non existent, a simple thing as toilet paper had to be begged for even though we every time pointed out that the easiest way would just be to replace it when cleaning the rooms. Then again, the rooms were not cleaned every day either.
4. Why only 1 sunbed at the poolarea? 22 rooms and 1 sunbed?
5. Old mattress on the floor offered as extra bed? These extra bed mattresses are stored outside in the hallway.
6. Wifi extremely unreliable and slow.

There are plenty of alternatives with pool you can choose in Varkala, this establishment should be the bottom of your list in my opinion. The only positive thing to say about it is that the location is great 200-300 metres from the cliff/beach.

Room tip: Stay away from this property

Booked into this hotel since it was recommended to me. Bad idea! Elevator does not work. Pool being repaired, No “free wifi”. Bedsheets and pillow cases were dirty. TV did not work. No phone in the 2 rooms we boooked. How is one supposed to come here to relax when you have to the lobby to request assistance?
