I realise that it is a place of worship but it felt that you were not welcomed as a sightseer.
Fair enough it asked for 100 rupee fee to take photographs in the outer courts. At the "desk" a surly priest insisted that it was 250 rupees and told quite rudely that I only had 10 minutes to take my photographs.
I do appreciate peoples' spirituality and would not purposely intrude upon their worship.
I had visited a smaller temple and had been made to feel very welcome.

An old temple with an interesting history about a Dutch captain who donated the ship's bell when it sank without any loss of life. Foreigners are not allowed inside.
