We landed in this property by chance as we had some issues with the resort that we had pre booked. Arun at the front office was very helpful and accomodative. We were lucky to get the cottage with the best view. The resort has one of the best sun set views. The cliff is around 2-3 kms away. The staff is very helpful, though they can add a few more items to their menu, specially for Breakfast. We had a very pleasant stay, special shout out to the kitchen staff.

Amazing sea view and polite staff ....
We have planned for one night and extended for three night that's the experience we had here. .. No other resorts around this area match this one with the same price. If anyone wants to enjoy the sea view and relax , this is the right place( you don't have any activities to do, Sea is rough at this time.) . All the cottages gives the sea view but the first one opposite to reception gives the best . The open restaurant tables are in front this cottage so you may have less privacy but that's ok for us since it was the nice view from this room.

You don't get many options in the food . As the kitchen is small but the taste is good.
The garden resturant is simply so relaxing at all times of the day, we were staying near by but loved the restaurant ambience. Had coffees in the morning, lunch snacks or light meal, then a sundowner after a swim and great evening meals too.
Jack and the crew are so friendly and so willing to help. For veggies, great choices on the menu, so my wife liked it. Great fish and meats too so I was very pleased.
I loved the simply made tandoor oven.
Each time we came here we had a good time, this has been over the last couple of years now.
It can get busy but hey life is good and a wait here is hardly hardship, as a refreshing drink is a great way to work up an appetite.
Forget formal dining. Here you get wonderful memories, great tasty, fresh food and friendly service, they are all made here. The sunsets and the sea are truely awesome too. Dining in nature is so much nicer.
The wooden chalet type accommodation was beautifully located and quite basic. Breakfast included turned out to be an arrangement with an on site restaurant with a price not exceeding 150 rupees. This was not explained. Anything above that was charged as an “extra”.
There were however other better much places to eat very close by. Also although we were assured on arrival card payments were ok, at the end cash was demanded and the machine was “out of order”.
We stayed at the Blue Water Beach Resort for 4 nights and had the cottage closest to the water. While the accommodation was rustic the location and staff attentiveness compensated for lack of amenities. The hotel is located away from the busier section of Varkala and has a commanding view of the ocean. Also, it is possible to go swimming at the adjacent beach unlike other hotels perched high atop the cliffs. They had a makeshift tandoori oven and the food was very good so we had several meals here plus the breakfast which was included in our rate. Very quiet except for the crashing of waves (we did spend some time worrying about tsunamis).
We stayed here for five nights at the beginning of our trip to South India The staff were excellent and very attentive however the accommodation was in poor repair and the cottage/bungalow was very dark and smelly. If the inside of the cottage was painted in a light colour it would have made such a difference. We had no hot water initially until we asked then suddenly we got some. The location is very good with excellent views of the sea. The menu was limited but the food was good.
