Wife and I stayed for 2 nights (4-6 May) in Jungle Lodge room (#302). The room was very spacious, clean, had a glass wall facing a spacious balcony with adequate privacy. Bathroom was clean and spacious. Bed was large and comfortable. There were enough supplies (like Tea, sugar, milk) and Toiletries (like Soap, Shampoo, Shaving kit etc.). The room had proper storage, study table, mini refrigerator and a sofa cum bed. Jungle rooms dont have AC, however we did not need an AC either.
The staffs we interacted with were ready to help, courteous and respectful. We also liked the food in the restaurant. Food items were priced reasonably, and breakfast spread was different on two days which was good.
The location of the resort is ideal for visiting the Periyar National park (Bus ticket counter is just 200 mts. away) and other attractions in Kumily and also for shopping. One can find everything in walkable distance.
The resort does not have a bar and does not serve alcohol, however, guests can bring their own and consume inside their rooms.
Inside the resort, there is not much open space to walk around, however, we loved the way resort utilized the space and put amenities like swimming pool, garden area, game room, spa etc. To reach jungle rooms, even though they have lifts, still it might be bit challenging for people with walking difficulties, they may choose cottages which would be easier to walk to.
Only con if I can mention would be there is no mountain or nature view from the Jungle rooms or may be from any rooms in the resort because of its location within the city. But that does not undervalue the property for so much they have to offer at pretty reasonable price.
