Pepper County is set in a 7 acre plantation in the most peaceful location. Mr Cyriac is very proud of his plantation and he took us on a most interesting tour pointing out Cardamon plants, nutmeg, allspice, lemon grass and pepper corns. Our room was outstanding and the view from the veranda overlooked the plantation where we sat and watched the variety of birds and wildlife. A very nice touch is the lounge area outside the bedrooms where we were able to sit and chat to our fellow guests after dinner. Although the dining room lacked atmosphere, the food was satisfactory and well cooked. All-in-all a pleasant stay and a very hospitable host.

We received a warm welcome from Ceriac, the owner of Pepper County Home Stay. We stayed in the annex building overlooking the spice plantaion. It was very peaceful and the room and bathroom were very good standard. We had everything we needed to feel at home. Ceriac gave us a tour of his spice plantation which was very interesting and he and other staff we at hand if you needed help. As this is a homestay the food options are limited but good. If you are having breakfast allow plenty of time. The portions are big!

This was our first home stay and part of our Citrus tour. Rooms are spacious and modern, set in beautiful grounds which form Cyriac’s spice and fruit plantation. The sights and sounds really make you feel as though you are amidst an exotic wilderness. Food was Keralan home cooking, delicious and plentiful - it just kept coming! Fresh fruit juices for breakfast were amazing, especially the passion fruit one from his garden. The highlight of our stay was Cyriac’s tour of his spice plantation. He offers every guest this tour and must have done it hundreds of times but still remains passionate and engaging. He farms mostly pepper and cardamom but we were also interested to see clove, cocoa, coffee beans, avocado...and many more. A unique home stay experience during our tour of Kerala.

From the minute we arrived, the host was so accommodating and welcoming. We enjoyed an informative walk around the extensive spice grounds. He even arranged for me to visit his brothers dairy farm. A real gem of a place A fabulous way to experience a home stay
