“Makes for a very relaxing stay...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 April 2012 via mobile

Would definitely recommend staying with Harri. It was so relaxing and just a minutes walk from Pricess St. We had breakfast a couple of mornings there which was fantastic! All of the family were very accommodating and welcoming and the rooms are nice and clean. There is also a nice outside area to read and chill.

My friend and I found Sithara through another nearby homestay in Kochin. It was reasonably priced and the location was perfect: one block from the main area of town but on a quiet side street. Harry and his wife were so accommodating and pleasant that we extended our stay to nearly 5 days. The large upstairs room has a balcony, two bedrooms and hallway with a separate exterior entrance. Breakfast every day was homemade and wonderful. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: The A/C rooms are smaller than the non A/C suite but the suite has fans and an airy balcony.

WOW- We stayed here in January and found it to be the best. The room was perfect, clean tidy and large, very quiet location but central fort Cochin on your doorstep. Harry the owner (fluent English) could not do enough for us, so ask if you need anything. His wife was the best cook ever, just try the coconut banana pancakes and you will know what we mean!-tell them paul an anika sent you and enjoy, you will not be disappointed. Plus a two minute walk to the best restaurant Dahl Roti.

Sithara is a welcome stay in Fort Kochi. It was clean, reasonable, and pleasant. Harry was very helpful in providing information and in coordinating our next adventure.

This home stay is as coming home. Harry and his wife Marcy do everything to feel you home. All the secrets of India Harry will explain you and give you insider tipps. The house is very clean and safe. The room is spacious and comfortable. The food is exellent - no way to eat outside! The best kitchen right at your home!
This hosts do their job with a lot of love and joy! We enjoyed the four nights and will come back for shure! Thanks for everything

Sithara Homestay welcomes you to Kerala, the nature lover’s wonderland, for an amazing experience. Kerala, a sliver of land located at the southernmost tip of India is 560 km long with lofty mountain ranges gracing one side and washed by the blue Arabian Sea on the other. Popularly known as ‘God's own country’, Kerala is viewed and listed by the National Geographic Traveler as one of the 50 places of a lifetime to be visited. Enjoy and explore Kerala in the ambiance of a traditional kerala house with us at Sithara Homestay. Situated on one of the streets of Fort Cochin, Sithara Homestay caters to the taste and needs of the discerning tourists. Present on a street studded with numerous ancient buildings conjuring up an aura of yore. An ideal place to start your discovery of the place and to plan and explore the beauty of Kerala. Fort Cochin is one of the sections of Cochin (The industrial Capital of Kerala), tucked between the Arabian Sea & the backwaters. Situated on a peninsula in the west linked by a complex system of ferries and unimaginatively made bridges, Fort Cochin shares the western location with Mattancherry as its other geographical ally of the old districts, while the eastern part is occupied by modern Ernakulam. ... more   less
