The hotel we stayed in Cochin did not serve alcohol and was empty. We decided to go elsewhere where there might be more life !
We walked to the hotel ( lovely walk through the town) and luckily managed to get a table outside for dinner.
It was full of western tourists ( the alcohol licence obviously attractive!) The food and the setting was magical, be warned there is water nearby, which attracts mosquitoes etc.

Defintely a place to eat,

Beautiful food and setting.
Only really for Tourists but seriously good quality food and presentation. Excellent service and beautiful hotel. Atmosphere was a bit lacking but may be because we went off season.

We visited Fort Cochin 10 years ago, and it was with some trepidation that we returned, they say you should' ever go back'. We stayed four nights at the Old Harbour and we are totally sold on this hotel, clean, comfortable, welcoming, great food and homely ambience. The team should be rightly proud of the reputation they have, nothing was too much trouble from the doorman to the waiting staff, chef and front of house all were wonderful.
A special mention is needed for Anthony with his classic and much loved Ambassador car. It was a real treat to be chauffeured into Ernakulam and back in true style and with serious panache too.
What a memory, we will certainly put it on our 'to return to,' list.

Fish on a skewer. Can't remember the name of it. But I will never forget the meal itself. I would go as far as saying that I would contemplate travelling to Kochi just to eat here again.

I am very hard to please and I am am saying this

This is our third, maybe fourth visit to Old Harbour Hotel in Fort Kochi, so as you can see we love this hotel.

This trip to India was pretty short compared to earlier trips, but when deciding to go back to India we just had to go back to Kochi and of course the Old Harbour Hotel.

We spent 8 magic nights at Old Harbour, and when arrived late in the night after being picked up by the hotel car at the airport we were given such a welcome home by Sukesh we felt we had never left 15 months ago.

Our favourite Tower Suite was waiting, still as beautiful as ever, the super King Size bed was just as comfortable as we remembered.

Next morning it was like catching up with the family and renewing friendships. Our favourite chef in the world Rahim was all smiles and laughter as he remembered Aussie expressions we had taught him during other visits...Goodday mate! Nothing was too much trouble, even sharing a receipe or two with us.

One of the hotels greatest assets would have to be the staff...far too numerous to mention, but are so well trained, all so friendly and never too busy to find time to have a chat and give some local advice. We would like to thank them all for being "the icing on the cake" at Old Harbour. Jude keep up the good work. You are doing a great job.

Yes...we are coming back again, and are looking forward to staying with you all again. It is very rare these days you find a hotel that is perfectly situated, with perfect facilities, and perfect staff...wish we could give you all a plus plus rating.

At the heart of ancient Fort Cochin, Kerala, a place that exudes history and culture, is the 'Old Harbour Hotel.' A 300 year-old building that has for long been a heritage monument of this town, now reopened as a boutique hotel.
