This was a lovely end to our tour of Kerala and Cochin was every thing we hoped for, the only slight critisism and the management were very helpful in sorting it out, is that the wifi was awful. If you get the opportunity of a guided tour round the local area, go for it, it was fascinating. The hotel food is very good, and they have a cafe (and art centre) just round the corner. But I would also suggest a 10 minute walk up the road to the Portuguese restaurant Oceanus, a very good fish offering, and very reasonable, they don't take bookings so go early! My wife would suggest that they update the hairdryer, as the attempt to have a 'period' piece, means that it's not very efficient. We really enjoyed our stay there though.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- At the heart of ancient Fort Cochin, Kerala, a place that exudes history and culture, is the 'Old Harbour Hotel.' A 300 year-old building that has for long been a heritage monument of this town, now reopened as a boutique hotel.
