The villa is beautiful, the poolside being my most favourite place to chill at. You can lie down on the poolside chair and appreciate the sky through the trees and forget your worries and absolutely relax. The service is also impeccable as the staff arranges almost anything and everything that you need. The fridge has basics like bread, fresh milk, butter and jam stocked up along with different types of breakfast cereals, cakes and tea / coffee. All in all, a very good experience. Highly recommended. Would DEFINITELY go back!
We have spent 3 days in this fantastic bungalow. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They are completely eco friendly. Your bill comes in a newspaper envelope and our packed breakfast will be in a carrier bag also made from newspaper.we certainly will try and return.
This three bedroom bungalow is perfect for a family or group of friends, and you are looked after really well by the CGH Earth staff - any issues are dealt with immediately. It was nice having a stocked fridge (milk, bread, eggs etc) so we could have breakfasts in the bungalow. There are so many places to sit and relax and the small pool is ideal to cool off after a busy day in Cochin. The location is perfect and it takes 10 minutes to walk to the parade ground. You can also have a chef come in and cook your dinner (at an additional charge) which was lovely - Chef Jomy's food was delicious.

Very much in the heart of Fort Cochin, an old bunglow with all the modern luxuries. It has a private swimming pool where one can just relax. Food is not part of the deal, you can ask the caretaker to make dishes for you for which you will have to pay for the ingredients. They have 2 big bedrooms with attached bathroom upstairs. They have one room downstairs which is not very big. Cycles are available for one to go around the place. It is very near the beach. This being part of the CGH group much support is provided by the 8th bastion hotel near by.
The staff are friendly and courteous. The place is well maintained. It is idle for a family get a way
We rented one of the two villas (and they are twin villas) for 4 nights during the peak December holiday season. Renters should know that these villas are managed by the boutique Eighth Bastion Hotel (another gem in my opinion) which is located 200 metres away.
The room service option for the villas is from the East Indies Restaurant at the Eight Bastion Hotel, the chef at this restaurant has some creations that belong in a Michelin starred restaurant in any major Western city: make sure you get the room service options from here or dine at the restaurant.
Villa: 2 full master bedrooms upstairs with their own outdoor seating area, king size beds, full on suite bathroom and room for up to two kids beds for those travelling with younger children. The bedrooms are spacious, fully air conditioned, equipped with a safe....basically has everything you could ask for in a luxury hotel including turndown service, and housekeeping at the drop of you hat.
The villa also has one additional bedroom downstairs with all the above amenities except the outdoor seating area.
The kitchen in the villa has everything you can think of and we did make use of the kitchen extensively during our visit, it did not have an american style drip coffee maker but the hyper attentive General manager took note of this.
The living room has a flat panel television, its own outdoor seating area, AC, lovely local art and photos. The dining room leads to the best part of the villa: the pool.
The pool was private enough to allow sunbathing, it was well maintained and long enough to get a few laps of swimming in i.e. it was not a small plunge pool.
Service: the staff for the twin villas are wonderful, helpful, efficient and are always around. They do an excellent job maintaining the villas and are there to cater to your every whim e.g. room service orders, food shopping from local markets, arranging transportation, local sightseeing tips, arranging for a personal chef, making reservations etc.
We look forward to returning to Beachgate in the near future, it is great to see that this type of villa accommodation is available in Kerala. I would say this is ideal for those seeking luxury and privacy (senior executives, celebrities etc).
I hope this company gets to expand this concept and open villas in more areas of India.
