This is a very touristy area, but rightfully so, as it has an interesting mix of restaurants, higher end shops and cheap souvenir shops, antique shops and spice markets

The Jew's town/Street at Mattancheri is now bereft of that community. You can walk through the street enjoying the aromas of various spices. The curio souks developed by the Jews are still thriving. Very expensive curio shops, need to bargain.
Another interesting thing is 400 years old Jewish Synagogue

Not amazing because it is simply dirty. But there are some nice spice shops and it is colorful. Good for 1 1/2 hours.

A narrow lane of handicraft shops. Many Kashmiri people have shops in this lane. At the end of the lane, you find the Paradesi Synagogue. The old post office bears the stamp of old age. The Synagogue is closed from 1 PM to 3 PM
