It was interesting to see Arab merchants filling the streets leading to the only Jewish Synagogue in town. but there was not much to visit at the Synagogue, the lady at the entrance seemed only interested in collecting the entrance fees than anything else.

The main attraction here is the shopping and the synagogue, and I am not a big shopper. Be aware that the synaoguge is closed every day (i think) during mid-day hours.

A wonderful community laid out in Jewish style, with excellent jewellery, handicrafts, antiques shops. Leads to the Jewish synagogue - encapsulation of Jewish tradition of worship with flooring tiles from China and if you are lucky you can get permission to see the Jewish Bible Scroll.

Give it a try.
Excellent jewellery and handicraft stores.
Tobacco shop that sells drum, Golden virginia and Old Holborn at £3 a pack ( 50 g)
Visit Sarah Cohen and her shop for Jewish items and hand crafted items.A lovely lady.

The synagogue is lovely, ensure your shoulders are covered and if wearing shorts make them longer ones.

Goats running wild, lovely to photograph.

Mixture of races and religions all getting on.

Spices, clothing, wooden items, bronzes, something for everyone.
Worth a visit.

Auto rickshaws safe and exciting, only 15 minutes at about 31 from The Chinese fishing nets for three people squeezed in.

Jacqui from Tunbridge Wells
